I started using Clenbuterol, raised my blood pressure to off the charts and nearly killed me. One tablet a day for one week, then a week off.

Good luck. lol.

One tablet a day???

Your bllod pressure must be off the wall as it is then, i'm guessing that 1 tablet was 40mcg, which shouldn't even touch you. I normally pyramid up to 4 tabs for 2 weeks then back down again. Have 2 days off once you hit 4 tabs and then do 2 weeks solid on 4 tabs, and the side effects in those 2 days as your body adjusts

No offence to people in here but at my gym the people who had protein shakes, to a man, were all numpties who loved themselves. Always in vests and nearly always in jogging bottoms as they did no work on there legs so didnt want anyone to see their chicken legs.

And always hench but with no definition because they cannot be arsed running to lower their body fat. Funny how barely any of them could do chin ups or press ups aswell.

I don't get the point in protein shakes unless you've absolutely hammered the weights and don't want to feel the pain the next day. Other than that reason I'd just eat protein and carbs like tuna, eggs, chicken breast, spuds and veg.

What are these for? Is it to build muscles etc....its all jibberish to me!

That said I get creon (pur creatine) on prescription for a medical matter and its made me so much quicker/stronger when Im playing football, people just bounce off me no matter how big they are.....so must be something in that!

I find kebabs, curries and chinese takeaways work wonders when trying to bulk up a bit, especially when necked with 8 cans of Stella.

The resultant disaster area that is the bog the following day only serves to bulk up the sphincter, unfortunately.

The pain is caused by little microscopic tears in muscle fibers, so even a protein shake won't prevent that from happening.

The idea behind them is convenience, but unfortunately it's opened up a market where you are constantly told you need protein and you need it now!

No athlete really needs to consume a 40g protein shake 3 times per day, unless they are so busy they forget to eat. They get you though. You take it 3 times per day because that's what it says on the tub. The tub lasts you 3 weeks, and then you go out and spend another £40 on a new one. It's the fear of not putting on muscle from working out that ensures you carry on buying the product. The magazines don't help. Articles telling you you need 300g of protein per day.

I'm not saying it's a con, because the powder in itself isn't. But i'd only really use it immediately after exercise along with some fast digesting carbohydrate. You're other protein requirements can so easily be attained through proper meals.
