Protest v Wolves

Flexi golds is my understanding.

So, NO normal season tickets again, even though that is one of the things the protests has been about. And the scam charge is still being applied, and is being refunded over 16 games, as long as you turn up to 16 games. If I’ve read that correctly? Come on!

They are STs. You choose your seat and can go to all games and sit in that same seat for exactly the same cost as a ST holder (or possibly less if you attend 14 games or so).

The additional fee is refunded pro rata, so if you attend 14 games, you would get 14/19 of the fee refunded.

Plus you get the chance to 'upgrade' to a gold/platinum/93:20 the following season if you have attended 16 games or more. I suspect the new flexi gold may be more suitable for the majority of fans than a 'regular' ST.

It's a mixed bag. Some good, some bad, some spin, some things not addressed at all.

The pathway for Members to become Flexi ST holders and then move onto Gold is a positive move, though I would argue it shouldn't have needed to exist in the first place. They should just let members have the option to chose to become Gold ST holders as soon as they are eligible instead of forcing them to a year of Flexi, but at least now they will be able to become Gold.

The refund of the £150 flexi surcharge for those who attend 16+ games is also positive.

This statement shows clearly that the club's initial cynical attempt to increase ST prices through the Flexi Gold scheme has failed. Mainly due to the pressure of the fan groups, protests and City Matters, so thank you to them.

Now I will prepare myself for the mess that will be the members queue to get 1 of the 500 Flexis released this summer.

The protest should go ahead, still plenty of issues to resolve. The 10 game minimum attendance requirement, keeping up the pressure to release THOUSANDS not hundresds of new STs when the North Stand is open, and of course the extortionate matchday pricing.

Can’t understand all these different prices for games should be £60 tops for any seat for adults , £35 for foc , £25 for teenagers and £10 for kids the club are raking in millions in sponsorship deals. Stadium full every game

No new general season tickets next season.

500 Flexi-Gold season tickets next season.

The Flexi-Gold scam charge stays in place.

No movement on match day ticket prices.

No movement on the 10 game attend ban unless you have a valid excuse.

They have said that they are releasing thousands.

City seem to have committed to at least 4,000 new season tickets in 2026/27 but we should note that the current configuration is that 75% of the home tickets is season tickets.

Yes, 500 flexi golds next season. The additional charge will be refunded according to attendance (no bad thing IMO):

As a result, from the 2025/26 season onwards, Flexi-Gold Season Ticket Members will be refunded the relevant portion of their subscription fee when they purchase their seat for each home Premier League match.

The new Season Tickets to be made available for the 2026/27 season will be offered as Flexi-Gold Season Tickets, but should these Season Ticket Members attend 16 or more home Premier League matches in a season, they will have the opportunity to transition their Flexi-Gold Season Ticket to a Gold, Platinum or 93:20 Season Ticket.

Has a person got to attend 16 games in a season to get the full refund? If they don’t attend 16 games, don’t they get a full refund? Do they get a partial refund?

Pro rata refund. So if they attend 12 games, they will get 12/19 refunded (that's my understanding at least).

Because you're a fan, and they are business people? So far, largely speaking they have filled the ground and maximised revenue but that policy is beginning to fail. They've pushed prices too far. It worked when we were winning titles but you can only sell a limited number of match-day tickets at £70. That's probably why they are changing tack a little plus their hand has been forced by the protests.

I know.

But no new general season tickets next season.

Why does the club find it difficult to issue new season tickets next season?

And why does the club attach rules and incentives to transition to new season tickets the following season?

It bollocks.

Issue new season tickets. It’s not fucking hard to do is it!!

By the sounds of it will be based on a game by game basis. Be interesting to know how the prices actually work out though, if you've attended for example the minimum Flexi 10 games.
As a result, from the 2025/26 season onwards, Flexi-Gold Season Ticket Members will be refunded the relevant portion of their subscription fee when they purchase their seat for each home Premier League match.

Those who purchase their ticket for 16 home Premier League matches over the course of the season will earn back the full amount of their subscription fee. Further information on this will be issued in advance of next season.

Seems sensible to me. Get a flexi gold, show you're committed to attending and then move onto a regular ST if you wish.

As I said before, I think flexi golds (with the new terms) will suit more people than a regular ST.

Probably as paulchapo stated a post above this one.

I failed to mention in my original post that for a club who constantly say they understand and respect our history that they forgot one vital aspect. That is as City fans we are used to battles, of fighting for what's right and refusing to be swayed by threats or being bought off. If we were then we wouldn't still be here now. We would have jumped onto the rag bandwagon of success when we were dire. Now that stubborn backbone forged in our dark years may be weakening due to old age and death but there's still enough of us around to show the youngsters the way for the future hopefully.

Pro rata refund. So if they attend 12 games, they will get 12/19 refunded (that's my understanding at least).

Why are the directors refunding money? why are the directors pissing about with pro-rata? Why are the directors making it even more complicated to get a season ticket, and to get the Flexi-Gold scam money back? Just give people the opportunity to buy a season ticket, or a Flexi-Gold season ticket without the scam charge, or having to refund the scam charge. One step forward, two steps back.
