Protest v Wolves

But it also states they'll be FG which aren't real season tickets

They talk about this "trial" of attending 16 games on a FG to convert to a full SC but they left that vague, you and a few others assume that to mean 4000, I'm skeptical as they will have to cut that off one year fucking over whoever does 16 games

And personally, this whole proving yourself worthy of a full SC thing stinks. Along with the other draconian attendance rules, they've effectively made it as difficult as possible because deep down, they don't want SC holders

How anyone sees that as a win, I don't know
FG is a real season ticket. You sit in the same seat every game you attend. The difference is that you deliberately decide to attend a game, and buy a ticket for it. If you don't, the club can resell the ticket, which minimises no-shows.

The club utterly fucked up by imposing a £150 premium and that has tainted the view of FG. With the changes, if you use it enough, it will cost exactly the same as an equivalent ST.

It's really quite fair and reasonable that if you have FG and only use it for a handful of games, your per-game price more closely matches individual match-day prices. And the more you use it, your per-game price more closely matches, then equals, the equivalent ST price.

FG is now an attractive alternative that sits between a full ST and buying tickets on a match-by-match basis. That's a fact.

I think flexi gold are now a really good option and they will become more and more popular over the next few years.

The protest doesn't have to involve not going and showing empty seats. You can protest in a much better way by filling the stadium and taking a stand against VAR. If there's a VAR review, queue the chant. Wolves fans will join.

Pep does not want to see empty seats and neither should anyone. The issues of meaning to protest are not a reflection of the squad. They deserve full support on the ground but there are other ways to protest, pre-match outside the grounds, at which point you can even unite with Wolves fans on you know what.

When the match is on, VAR is the enemy, treat any intervention with contempt. Have that be the protest! Start a trend to turn this nightmare off and set in motion a movement of bringing back the sport of football to its full glory.

FG is infinitely better than fucking about in different seats each game, and generally less expensive.
Yep, I wonder how many people that want a ST would accept a FG, then consider it a season ticket ? My guess is very high, there’s a lot of paranoia and misinformation about them, that’s on the club for adding the charge to what should of been a very good idea, now you have a situation where people are asking themselves am I a scab for taking one, which is utter nonsense. If generational City fans don’t accept these as an entry to Golds, then who do people expect to step in ? I think we know the answer

Does anyone know if FG season tickets have the same priority for away games/cup finals on the points system compared to the standard season tickets?

It is a decent compromise by the club, continuing the protest today would show that the protesting groups aren't open to negotiation and reduce chances of future meaningful consultation.

When you get a win you don't push it to try to humiliate the other party. Otherwise it will just look like a social media attention stunt.

Have you bothered reading the statement?

"It was always the Club’s intention to release new Season Tickets as part of the expansion of the North Stand. Whilst the seating configuration of the stand is yet to be finalised, we can confirm that it will be predominantly GA seating and that the majority of the additional GA seating capacity will be held by Season Ticket Members, through the release of new Season Tickets."

There's around 8,000 new seats, a majority means 4,000 plus. There's also 500+ new ones for next season. Note that this doesn't mean just the new stand, but means the entire stadium.

"We will also commit to offering Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members the opportunity to purchase Season Tickets which become available from non-renewals in future seasons."

The above is promising as well.
Yes I’ve read the statement. It doesn’t specifically say 4,000 new season tickets. Please quote that exact phrase please..Predominantly GA seating could be half season tickets, half flexi gold tickets.

It also doesn’t say if those season tickets in the north stand will be mainly from relocations or not.

Feels like the club have won their game. People revert to type and you can see it already. Some people with season tickets suddenly thinking everything is ok. Surely it's about the affordability of football. The movement with FG is a positive but if they're still ripping people off with match day prices then that shouldn't be accepted. But I understand many will just think about themselves and that's ok, it is what it is.

My stance would only change in this if it was clear the club would enter a dialogue about the remaining issues and be certain we'd protest early in the season next year if dialogue over the summer didn't make progress. Each to their own though

If the protest was about pricing, I'd still get behind it. But it's not. It's 6 minutes to signify season tickets not being released for 6 years. And they now have been. So why continue to protest?

I was intending to protest tonight. I think the fans and the future of the fans is far more important than qualifying for the Champions League so I don’t agree with some of the posts.

However, it seems the club are listening. They need to do more but at least they are engaging and I think a protest tonight is wrong in terms of timing. Save it for another day, a bigger game next season perhaps.

Each to their own though.

Why is the protest tonight 6 minutes?
What did the 6 signify because that's what the protest is about.
That's now been resolved.
You can't change what the protest is about or it's just protesting for protesting sake.
You’re Danny Wilson and I claim my free FA Cup Final ticket.

The 6 minutes are symbolic for the lack of season tickets over the last 6 seasons. The announcement late last night couldn’t have been more vague. I don’t think the issue is fully resolved until all the details are clarified.

The protest tonight is to highlight the specific issue of no season tickets but all of the issues are still relevant.

Until they’re all resolved I think all City fans should consider continuing the protest.

It’s good that tonight’s protest put a focus on the lack of season tickets because it appears to forced the club’s hand to do something about it.

The next protest will focus on another issue. And hopefully produce similar results.

No one is forcing you to join in. But the only way the fans will win these concessions, that we shouldn’t have to fight for, is through solidarity.

If the directors were ALWAYS going to release 4000 new FLEXI-GOLD season tickets for the new NSL2 as they have said, why didn't they announce that before the Leicester and Villa protests?

Exactly. City Matters reps have come on here a few times and said there wasn't any intention to release new season tickets. Are we meant to believe they were told that and the club omitted 'until the new stand opens' which then again the CM reps then failed to pass on to us?!!! No chance. Some people just like believing everything the club tells them. It's recent attendances, protests etc that have made them have a change of heart.

It's undoubtedly great progress, but there is work to do. The matchday members are the most shafted element of our fanbase and the 10 game personal criteria/14 to 16 utilisation criteria that additionally wasn't run past City Matters either etc.

How many season tickets will lapse at the end of this season that won't be passed on to the fans next season, and will be turned into new match day tickets or '500 new Flexi-Gold season tickets'? ;-) For arguments sake, say......500!

TBH Centurions, I'm a very cynical person. :-(
The 500 promised for next season is a minimum and will go up depending on non-renewals. That is stated. I personally don't see the issue with them being flexi gold initially given you can upgrade the season after if it's used, plus you get the £150-£175 fee back.

Who’s calling anyone a scab for taking a Flexi Gold? Or have you just made that up?

What announcement by anyone ever made a year in advance hasn't been vague?
They won't even know how many seats there are in the new stand until they are installed and some poor sod gets the job of counting them but you want an exact number of tickets and which seat they will be in.

No they haven't, FG is not a season ticket
