Protest v Wolves

Middle English: from Old French couard, based on Latin cauda ‘tail’, possibly with reference to a frightened animal with its tail between its legs, reflected in coward (sense 2 of the adjective) (early 16th century)....

That's not me nor the vast majority of blues who will be in there for kick off.

Your protesting over nothing now. The threat of protests has had an effect.
Now it's not about the original aim. It's purely to be a concourse cock.
Crack on though. You be you. :-)

They literally announced no price changes, no new full season tickets, no change to season ticket capacity percentages

You want to throw it in immediately because it's a bother. But don't worry, like all the other tossers who are having a pop at the protestors, WHEN the club lowers your ticket price then you can come and thank us all for doing the work while you sat on your arse whinging

I've clarified this with City Matters.

They will be additional season tickets, not just for relocations. Initially they'll be offered to anyone relocating as FG but, if used for the requisite number of games, will convert to a standard ST.
Surely if someone relocating as an existing full ST holder (Gold or whatever) won't be "downgraded" to an FG ticket? Or have I misread that?

Sad that a few ales are a priority.. at today's prices 4 pints is a match txt. Fans who have an ST already paid for but don't show because of ale priority are looking at an £80 to £100 Friday post work ale cost. Makes the out priced arguement impossibke for tgem to make. I cant go tonight sadly..work meeting in London till 5 pm. What sh*t KO really

Have you seen many football fans? Ale absolutely is the priority for at least 90% of them lol.
4 pints a match ticket??? Where the fuck are you drinking? Our last home game was £71. That's just over £17.50 a pint. With a camra card I can get a pint for £4.25.
It's not ale priority it's social interaction activity with friends, partners etcetera and for a lot of people that's a Friday. Football and our club doesn't give a fuck about the fans anymore that's being proven every season. We're two weeks before the cup final and still haven't been told a kick.off time or even which end we are being allocated. We've guessed it's the East end because Palace have posted on their website they've got the West side. Knowing is important for booking hotels etcetera but our club can't even be bothered to post that on their website. So you know what happens when the club can't be bothered? Neither can the fans.

Just checked the prices for tonight. The cheapest is £61 an adult and £33 a child. Almost £100 if one adult takes their kid, add on travel and it's over £100 before any other cost. For a single fan he can have at least ten pints in a pub for £61 and watch it on the telly.

My problem is pricing ,taking my granddaughter to a game she is nine and ticket price £35 in CB3.We live to far away for night games so only 12 30 and 3 00 ko works .so basically 8 to 10 games a season is pretty much what l pay for my season ticket

They think they are bailing out of a sinking ship protest after the directors made a few concession with whistles and bells attached to them. They really are naive if they think it is a win for the fans

The club have offered the very bare minimum, and couched the wording in the statement so that they can row back on some of it, and it’s being lapped up by some of our more gullible fans.

Its is a win is it a full win ,no but these things rarely go all one way. It's up people to do what they want but personally think any protest should wait and see what City Matters report

Well if it’s on social media it must be true
As conspiracy theories go it’s hardly JFK, no reason to doubt her and it’s not the first time I’ve read similar…..we do have to be careful, up to now CM, food bank lot,1894 & the other chaps have pitched this really well, when people start drawing a line and shouting at those on the opposite side, things start to get a little partisan (between supporters)
Me, I don’t mind admitting I feel a little conflicted, the club have been good to my lot, and although not going far enough, have made some pretty decent concessions, far beyond what I expected. People are now saying they’ve got them on the run we need to double down etc, that’s a dangerous game.
I will be supporting the protest, because I am eternally grateful to those who have fought our corner, who achieved the successes, and I’ll be letting them know outside the ground. There is also the matter of all the other issues and the club have stated dialogue will continue, I trust those in the process to complete the job having made so much ground

In fairness, nobody is "having a pop" at protesters.
More the other way round as you say in your post here by resorting to calling posters with differences "tossers". Same for a few of the other militants who seem to need a day off to calm down imho.

Calling posters out isn't going to do anything other than create division.

For myself, I'm not against protest per se but do want to know and understand why these protests are happening, rather than just going off the leaflets and role calls.

I think that’s all fair comment.

I hope you assured the woman in question that any sane thinking person would never assume she was a scab for taking a Flexi Gold ticket.

I’m glad you’re going to continue to support the protest tonight.

Everyone has done a brilliant job so far with the protests and we’ve had some wins. But there still a lot more work to do.

It’s a shame the management at City haven’t realised sooner that what they’ve been trying to do won’t be accepted by the heart and soul of the club, it’s fans, and it’s come to this.

Hopefully the club will see sense and the bond between club and fans can be quickly repaired. It won’t take much to do that. Just some sensible compromises by the club.

You’re Danny Wilson and I claim my free FA Cup Final ticket.

The 6 minutes are symbolic for the lack of season tickets over the last 6 seasons. The announcement late last night couldn’t have been more vague. I don’t think the issue is fully resolved until all the details are clarified.

The protest tonight is to highlight the specific issue of no season tickets but all of the issues are still relevant.

Until they’re all resolved I think all City fans should consider continuing the protest.

It’s good that tonight’s protest put a focus on the lack of season tickets because it appears to forced the club’s hand to do something about it.

The next protest will focus on another issue. And hopefully produce similar results.

No one is forcing you to join in. But the only way the fans will win these concessions, that we shouldn’t have to fight for, is through solidarity.

My main gripe is this punitive ‘10 game’ policy.

Threatening fans on the one hand and changing fixture to random days of the week at the last minute with the other hand.

I’ll be protesting. It’s a fucking outrage. Shock and awe tactics and gaslighting from the club.

Throw a load of shit down the track at the fans and then if only 75% of it sticks the plebs will take it as some kind of victory.

And some happy clappers on here are falling for it hook like and sinker.

Shame on City.

There’s time mate, match day prices are a while off being released, we got it badly wrong this season, where was the Brighton Brentford £20-£25 quid prices of previous seasons ? And some of the ST snatching has been deplorable, but I reckon we’ll fix that, although the damage is done. The stewarding in the SS & banning orders are another thing that needs looking at. And the big Tomali of games attended needs bringing in line with Saturday 3pm ko’s

You’re the one trying to create division by criticising every small detail of the protests, just because they’re not being implemented exactly how Mr Grumpy would do it.

You’ve had the protests explained to you several times in several ways. If you read the threads and spent a bit more time thinking and bit less time moaning it might sink in.

Either join the protests or don’t. I’m not quite sure what you expect to achieve by doing nothing though.

It seems to be the de facto goto for some of the more aggressive posters and they also always seem to be 1894 members. It's not a good look for the group as a whole.

Gaslighting and victim blaming?

Um, ok.

I'll still be protesting. Cost of kids tickets and match ticket prices aren't anywhere near good enough.

Plus the new stipulations regarding season tickets were too harsh and published without speaking to the fan groups.

The £150 Flexi Gold fee is still there too.
