Protest v Wolves

Walk up and pay $20-$30 in the MLB, some stadiums are majority empty, only 1 in 30 teams regularly sells out, one gets about 15% capacity in a 50k stadium.

I'm not sure why you picked baseball as an example? They had to change the game to make it shorter as people stopped going.
Pretty sure baseball play more than the 38 games as well.

It used to be so simple, you turned up with cash, bought a ticket at the turnstile, and got in. If you turned up late and missed out, because the ground was full, your loss. I regularly went to Maine Road and never once bought a ticket in advance, and just made sure I got there an hour or so before kick-off, and always got in, most games were full house.
That might’ve been the way in the past, but is that really a solution these days? Doubt it.

You live a thousand miles away. Nobody gives a fuck what you think about season ticket prices mate. You've made it clear what you think about "local fans".

I'm local to the ground but chose to give my season ticket up 3 years ago as I was just bored going to games. If I was still going I wouldn't join in any protests as I can't be arsed with shite like that. Also, people like you are so fucking disagreeable I'd more than likely be against it for that reason alone.

With that we'd still need another 5000 STs to reach the 2019 ST occupancy rate of 72.7% (40k STs in a 55k stadium).
Right now we're down to 37k STs in a reduced capacity stadium of 52900, so 70% STs.
With the discussed 4k new STs in 2026 and the approx 500 confirmed this summer, we'd be up to 42,500 STs in a 62k stadium when the North Stand opens. This is down to a 68.5% ST occupancy rate.
To return, as I think we should, to 2019 levels we'd need approximately 8000 new STs over the next 2 summers to reach an ST occupancy rate of 72.5% when the North Stand opens.

Sadly I don't think we'll ever reach 2019 % levels again as clearly the club's strategy is to reduce the % of STs in the stadium. I think the best we can hope for is that 70% of the 8000 additional capacity is released as new STs bringing us to 43.1k.

(existing 37k + this summer's 500 + 5600 aka 70% of the 8000 new seats)
My head’s spinning with all that!

Good. You don't want to go and you don't care about others prices. No worries, not your issue then
