Protest v Wolves

this is incredible nonsense, starting of with a complete contradiction

"Ticket prices are also in the interest of those who don't go."

what a line, if somebody isn't going why on earth would the ticket price be of any interest to them whatsoever ?
you are still buying into the myth that there's a need to increase match day revenue even though it's driving people away. there's enough money in football as it is, we have had a price freeze and stands back in amazement haaland is still getting paid his half a million a week even though we were told match day revenue HAS to go up to pay for haaland. the club will not go broke and it will be able to compete very strongly.

people know exactly what they are protesting about and more importantly the club knows why too, it's a battle of wills and thd club don't want to lose face so will only give small concessions bit by bit.

they have reduced the bournemouth home tickets on the quiet, for adults and for juniors and oaps which is admitting prices are too high and that fans aren't buying in to their levels of "customer care". they've got all aspects of ticketing wrong and the ryanair example is nonsense, if the plane is full you can't get on, if there are empty seats in the ground it's because the prices are too high. if a season ticket holder can't go and sells the ticket back to the club, the club cannot sell the ticket as they have priced it too high.
I think you need to reconsider the original statement:

"......if you don't buy tickets then your opinion on ticket prices isn't relevant."

See UEFA staged a “City fan -like” walk out at the latest FIFA assembly in protest against Infantino’s 2.5 hour late arrival after hob bobbing with heads of states :-)

Perhaps football governing bodies will admit football is now all about power & money - not honest endeavour by club owners

Jesus. That ticket exchange rule is fucking shocking!

Rag season ticket holder sent me that pic first thing this morning. That in particular instantly stood out to me as well. Told him we'd be introducing it the following year no doubt. Seem to love bouncing ideas off one another these cunts.

A *lot* to hate in there, but that wins the coconut.

I've got an ST, but I still need to buy more tickets.

Unbelievable.

Perhaps it wouldn't be too bad if it was DD and the following month is altered? If you pay up front you're punished though and would have to wait until the following season to get it back. That's on the assumption you'd be renewing too, otherwise you wouldn't get it back. Fucking shite any way you look at it.

Think city used to do that but changed to current system

State of this, the chelsea fans advisery board are a bit shit

Disgraceful that, and I fully expect Chelsea fans to be protesting about it next season. I see the cheeky fuckers waited until the season had ended and just after Chelsea won the Conference League - meaning their fans would've been on a high - to announce it.

Any new Independent Regulator needs to get right into these moneygrabbing bastards. More and more clubs are persecuting matchgoing fans. This is a total failure by the PL as a regulator. The PL leadership is happy to launch witchunts against clubs which invest too much money but does nothing to protect fans from dodgy owners. Part of the huge broadcast deal must be ringfenced to subsidise tickets. The broadcasters are part of the problem. They collude with the clubs against fans on ludicrous kick off times etc. There has to be independent regulation.

Didn’t we used to do this until fairly recently, when the exchange first started
Pretty sure we’ve only been doing cash refunds for STs for 4 years or so

Seems to be the consensus. Can see them re-visiting this though now if that was the case. Probably started offering cash refunds to incentivise selling it back to them instead of using ticket transfer. Now ticket transfer is becoming more difficult from next season you are more pushed to use the exchange. Can therefore see them trying to go back to credit instead of cash.
