Protest?

It is totally embarrassing, God knows what people would be like if we actually only finished 4th in the table.
When we were shit prices went up and we just accepted it, I do not know what people on here expect, I only ever hear moaning.
We all have a choice in life what we spend our money on, we are at a crucial part of the season, lets all get behind the Team, they need us.

I deleted my reply as I thought I was in the joke section which is where our support at most home games on the 90th minute belongs. My current season ticket is £120 less than Leeds cheapest. If City were on a comparison website they'd be everyone's first choice, please stop moaning, move to cheaper seats if you cannot afford the hike. When Pep goes I expect a dip in £ rises along with form for now it should be the hottest ticket in town but we are spoiled.

Well said. Top class team & matches for the same price as most other clubs & cheaper than many

Any thoughts on this ?

Re the season ticket prices to show fans are the lifeblood of the game / the club

Think its been 10 years or so a rise each year

Also issues over matchday prices membership prices away allocations hassling fans to sell tickets back to club so they can resell to tourists as a package

£80m profit. Price rises don’t wash. They want to have more matchday revenue than the others in the big 6. Chelsea Arsenal Spurs all affulent fan bases. Utd and Lpool international fan bases. Say Arsenal charge £1k a ticket City want to charge £1,005? But wages/london waiting means our prices and therefore match day revenue should never be more than Arsenal.

When quality on pitch drops after Pep leaves - will the prices drop too ? No.

So fight it now. If your seat has only gone up 3% someone else will have gone up 12%

Divide an conquer, I don’t know what the fuss is about, mine has only gone up £2 a game.

Not the point- it’s every year and next year you’ll be the 12%

Notice they don’t give everyone the same % rise at the same time as that means all fans turn on them at same time.

Arsenal and Villa are six pointers. Luton should look after itself. If 20,000 walk out on 80 minutes- with hopefully game won - it can make a statement. Media carries it and makes City have to give explanations.

Thoughts please Blues ?
i take it you were'nt going during the pearce era, not a single goal scored at home in the league from new years day onwards, and now you're watching the best team in the world, stop fuckin moaning

Not really a fan of protesting or making a scene like this to be honest, especially as other clubs have put their prices up as well and the success we have had? Understand frustrations though but maybe start with City matters and the 1894 group? We are already under the cosh from other fans, lets if possible not add to the pile on

A couple of examples in Europe. Different reasons.

Napoli fans release a statement saying they will remain silent when Milan travel to the Stadio Maradona on Sunday to protest against the increase in ticket prices and restrictions due to security reasons.

Bundesliga fans are planning a 12-minute silence across all league games this weekend to protest against the potential sale of TV rights.

In allusion to the effect of fans as the proverbial 12th member of the team, fan clubs and "ultras" from several of Germany's top clubs, notably supporters of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, announced on Friday Sportschau reports, that they will remain silent for the first 12 minutes of their teams' forthcoming games.
Don't think anyone would realise if we did this

There were 4000 empty seats during the Pearce era. Anyone could buy a seat. Fans protested with their feet and their wallets.

Just because we're watching the best team in the world it doesn't mean we can't and shouldn't protest at the way the club are treating our fan base off the pitch. I don't need to go into the issues again, they are well documented across our fan base.

when I was a shop steward way back there we loads of people shouting and screaming about things were unfair and what should be done. But none of them would do anything just wanted other people to do it for them.Just like what happens on Bluemoon

'Protest'..? My arse.

A handful of people standing outside the ground waving a few banners around isn't going to register on any wavelength beyond Danny Wilson's, and he'll just stick with what the Board of a multi billionaire company wants. Lip service will win the day. They don't give a shit what the legacy fan thinks, says, or does.

Back in the 60s and 70s we could smash a few windows and block the main entrance when we wanted to protest. We were all on the same page in those days.

Most 21st century problems are too big for little people. Turning telephone lights on during the game doesn't count as a protest.
