In my view, we should have a secular state and religion should only be explained in school in the broadest terms so that everyone understands what some people believe. There is no need to go into detail or to offer gratuitous offence.
However, as an extreme secularist, I believe children's exposure to religion should be limited to 3-5 hours a week, including attendance at services, and anything above that should be treated as child abuse. If people want to become devout once they are over 18, that's fine.
