What have you done in your life that has made you feel really proud of yourself?

I'm not talking about daft things like a massive fart, or a huge belch or saying "Bollocks" within a burp, I mean real things you can look back on with a great deal of pride.

I've never done anything huge in my life really, just been a normal kinda guy, but I was pleased when I was able to do 2 best man speeches, despite being quite shy, and doing my FA Coaching badge, which was quite hard some time ago, not like now, Level 1 is a gimme. Again being quite shy, it was quite a challenge for me.

stuck by City through thin and thinner for thirty-eight long years and getting thirty-eight long years of grief off a number of rags, I always insisted that our time would come and boy will they know about it when it does!

Having a child when I was 18 years old, deciding to carry on working whilst bringing him up on my own for the first 16 years of his life, and now seeing him happy, healthy, balanced, independent and productive.

Doesn't get much better than that.

The road was a rocky one for a while but all the hard work paid off.

He will always be my finest achievement. And I am immensely proud to say that.

Jumped in with all my clothes on at Broadway baths to pull a girl out that appeared to be drowning. I was about 11 or 12 at the time and the instructors did nothing.

quality post. me and the missus both work while bringing 3 kids up. eldest is 9, then 3 and nearly 2. i set off for work at quater past 4. she goes out at teatime and gets in just before 10. we are growing old young but the kids are amazing. in 19 years time it'll be worth all the aggro. at my 50th, they'll all be working so i want a city top with 'DAD 50' on the back and a pair of adidas manchester. otherwise i'll disown them ;o)

Trust me here that when they "play" up (as they undoubtedly will) there will still come a time when you know your efforts have not been in vain.

Just try not to murder them in the meantime. ;-)

I switched channels on the big screen in my local when Cantona was just about to lift the FA Cup to Rugby Union, without anyone knowing it was me, it kicked off big time, with comments like "I;ve waited all my life to see Eric lift the Cup and what do i see, Fucking Saracens. still gets talked about today from fellow Blues and Scousers
