Proud Moments

I was immensely proud at Old Trafford for the Munich silence. I remember I had a big grin on my face with pride that we'd shown we were as we always said in the weeks leading up to it, decent people. Pretty strange to have a grin during a minutes silence, but I felt very proud that day, not just of fellow City fans, but for the whole of Manchester.

Also, very proud to have met Bert Trautmann at the Birmingham game last season. It was an honour.

As a City fan since 1970 and now a steward feel very proud to be representing my club every match day and get a real buzz out of helping fellow Blues out.
Watching the match is the icing on the cake...

Having a child when I was 18 years old, deciding to carry on working whilst bringing him up on my own for the first 16 years of his life, and now seeing him happy, healthy, balanced, independent and productive.

Doesn't get much better than that.

The road was a rocky one for a while but all the hard work paid off.

He will always be my finest achievement. And I am immensely proud to say that.
That's such a nice thing to say. Well done for sticking by your son. A lot of teenage mothers would have backed out and gone for an abortion, but people like you are an inspiration for pregnant teenagers everywhere. You've still made something of your life and his life, despite being a teenage mother.

I'm proud of you. (:

Before I popped my knee, when I was 21/ 22 I took a summer job at the LIPA. I had to get a group of kids ready for a dance off against established dance/ drama schools in 4 weeks. Except for one or two gems, my lot were the worst set of kids, surely!

Without the gems understanding the basic dance moves of contemporary and street dance, I'd have failed the project, as I couldn't have kept showing individual kids how to do stuff in such a short period, so they helped me.

This is no story of "Fame", the kids weren't great at the show, they were extremely limited and the star dancer couldn't make it. BUT they had fun as we were last on and other schools joined in with us, probably as they saw my lot trying their little hearts out!

One of my proudest experiences.

My proudest moment was meeting my girlfriend.

A lot of people had said that because she lived so far away that I wouldn't have the balls to stay with her, let alone meet her. I proved a lot of people wrong that weekend, and people have respected me for it ever since. They're all so surprised that a boy can stay in a relationship this long at this age, especially when the girl lives a fair amount of distance away. Some people in this world are special, and some only come around once. You have to take every oppurtunity you're given, I guess. Unless it's something dangerous like sky-diving, or performing unlawful acts.

I'm proud of myself. I've continued to meet up with my girlfriend, despite all the things we've put eachother through, but like I said: some people are special.
