Is there anyway that i can get the stuff from it? I smashed it up to get my fifa from it after YLOD. I took the HD out of it before.

Movies and pictures. I am gutted that my 'pro' is dead, but can build him up again in time, it's the movies and 100's of pictures i'd like back.

You can plug it into a PC as a slave drive and just browse it as you would any other disk.

After some quick reasearch on this glen i may have to go back on it.
Do you have the one that you smashed's system name ? if so you can call another system the same thing and that may work, as it is they seem to be exclusive to one system which is the gayest dumb fuckery i have ever heard.

From what i am seeing glen, you may need to be a little drastic.
The drive is not going to be readable by any other system be it pc/mac/linux it seems.
You can however plug it in to your pc and reformat it (quick reformat only).
When that is done run a data recovery tool. You should get all data back as a quick reformat simply marks the disk sectors for read and write again but does not destroy data.
I have done this a few times before with 100% success.
However i'll see if their is some hack for it.
