A lot depends on the instruction given to the players. If both ferns are pressing high up the pitch we are fucked. I cant see pellegrini telling the players to contain so I fear we will be gungho and wide open as per usual.

So this is it, an immense match and it will as usual come down to a fight and scrap between both teams. I don't know about the situation with Yaya in terms of fitness but leaving him in this game is very odd and random to say the least. This is the game where we need someone that can seize and control possession in the midfield and without that, like the first game, we may be chasing shadows in that department and may very well rely on Ibrahimovic having a bad game once again to get a positive outcome. Fernando in particular will have to work extra hard to keep pace and fernandinho will need to also try and keep possession of the ball. Navas offers defensive cover but will need to really improve his crossing in-order to capitalize on our chances.

A 433 with Yaya in a central role, and fernandinho drifting right occasionally, would have been my preferred starting line up. But football is a sport, let the players work hard,defend well and fight and at the end of the day, it is about going through so LET'S DO IT!!

hoping we don't get overrun in midfield....they have gone with the 5 in midfield cause (in the words of their own players and manager after last week, "they didn't control possession like they usually do)

If its apparent from early on that we are conceding a lot of possession and getting overrun MP needs to change it (doesn't have a good history of doing this however at all). we have two ball winners in there with the two fernas but the other 3 (silva, navas and esp KDB) are not and we could easily get overrun......

Will MP have the nouce to change it early if its going wrong...hope so

i am watching the pre-game on BeIN1 french (even though they are supporting PSG they still are a lot more blanced than the English press).. they are saying that Blanc setup his team in a 3-5-2 to account for Yaya Toure making those runs behind Aguero... now they are afraid that they might be too defensive for no good reason... Aurier was supposed to mind Yaya... we'll see who surprised who?

Its the correct decision-gonna be a frantic start. KDB has been poor defensively on the right; his best position is behind the striker. Yaya to come on later when the game settles.
