PSG and FFP

Do the rules not apply to them?

They are now being linked with Mourinho and Ronaldo.

Surely they are not operating at a profit with all their transfer deals and wage bill.

They are French and therefore above the rules .. let them keep spending let's see how the ffp will go about it hopefully nowt so we can argue the toss if needs be always said it will kill the European game as a whole as players will still want big pay days and will seek football in places where there are no restrictions ...

What will happen is FFP from UEFA will be scrapped to coincide with premier FFP instigation! To stop us spending, that's why that KUNT Gill has been trying to rush it through as quick as possible because he knows UEFA's FFP will fail.....

Is the premier FFP only looking to actually bring in a salary cap ???

FFP as we all know is a scam to keep the already established european clubs as numero uno, thus not allowing clubs to be taken over and brought up to a similar if not even better level.

If anything, I can possibly see this being the begining of break-away leagues somewhere in the future. Taking the power out of UEFA's hands.

I am guessing you did not hear about the Qatar Tourism Authority deal.

PSG are my heroes, Long may their indiscriminate spending spree continue.

Well I think it's disgusting the way they are flagrantly flouting the rules. What happens when their Sugar Daddy gets bored? It's only a rich man's play thing after all, they're not in it for the long haul.

This money is not money they've earned themselves and they shouldn't be allowed to spend like this. Look at St Ettienne, L'Orient or Bordeaux - examples of really well run clubs and the model they should follow.

They are seriously fucked when FFP comes in.

These Arabs and their petrodollars are bad for the game.

I agree with everything that this poster has said.

As they will be untouchable and with a larger deficit than us it can only be good for us.

Well let's hope so. it certainly gives us a chance. Let PSG break all the rules and we can sit back and watch the sanctions dished out - if any. Meanwhile we play by the rules and see how it all pans out. We can't loose really.

Well we lose by missing out on the top talent. Us playing by the rules will see PSG, Chelsea and even the rags snap up great players while we twiddle our thumbs shiting ourselves about FFP.

For me FFP is doing exactly what they want it to do and it isn't even in place yet. If we go and spend big they'll ban us and if we stop spending like we are now the established "big" clubs with higher income will continue to buy the best players.

Do you honestly think our owners are likely to do that?

We're doing it now. There were a number of players we could have signed in the summer but didn't because we did not want to pay high fee/wages (no not RVP). Our owners are taking FFP VERY seriously whilst other clubs are not and it's costing us.

So do I. Apart from the bit about Leyton Orient.
