Great result.
Not so sure about the performance.
Shame about Fernando's cock up. Hart told him what to do with it as he kicked the ball.
Great penalty save from Hart though Luiz should have been sent off for hooking the defender's leg.
KDB was fantastic - boy have we missed him.
PSG threw the kitchen sink at us at the start of tge 2nd half, but ran out of steam. We really should have exploited it but bringing Pony on had the expected result. What Ian Acho thinks is beyond me...
Poor game from Aguero, not impressed with Sagna or Cliche either.
MOTM - A toss up between KDB and Fernandinho.

I blame Hart for that goal, passes it to Fernando's right instead of left.

They didn't show enough on the replay, but when Luiz brought Aguero down, was Luiz the last man?

Our most likely way of qualifying for the CL next season will be by finishing in the top 4. I hope the players/ management don't lose sight of that. Not to mention that keeping the rags out of it will be an added bonus, with potential knock ons for them financially, as well as in terms of player recruitment. If the fairy godmother of football offered me top 4 in exchange for getting twatted by PSG in the 2nd leg, I'd take it.

Joe Hart was terrible, the worst City player on the pitch. The penalty was due to his reluctance to catch the ball and relieve the pressure on the defence. The equalising goal was down to the terrible, fundamental error of passing it to a defender who is facing his own goal. You should pass it to the side where the fullback can see what is going on ahead of him (watch Barcelona if you want to see how it should be done). The second goal was due to his weak parry. He could have caught the ball, it had no pace on it, or put it out for a corner or got it well to the side at a much more acute angle instead of into the path of a PSG attacker.

If you add in a number of other times he could have caught the ball to relieve pressure and his wayward kicking, the ball rarely going to where we have a chance of possession he was a liability.

Hart sometimes brings off incredible saves and he is amazing at one on ones. But he is not a footballer and the team suffers as a result.
Behave mate. Top class keeper. It's between him and de gea for worlds best in my opinion.

Really chuffed with the result. Job only half done - we must beware because I don't think they can play as poorly again. Thought DeBruyne was incredible given he has only just returned, showed that he is a player we can build around. Sergio was good until he got a knock and then struggled. A few problems still persist as they have done under Pellegrini - 1. We can't seem to deal with a straight ball down the middle. 2. Distribution from the back inc the keeper is average and always likely to give possession away. And, 3. Just when we were starting to take advantage of them being tired and Silva started to find space the manager takes him off for the musclebound one! It's as if he has a plan and refuses to alter it even if the tempo of the match changes. Overall PSG are there for the taking if we start fast and defend better as a team.

Yes but you'll never get the red that wide. Sideshow admitted post match he fouled Aguero deliberately because he was clean in otherwise. 2 red cards by the rules of the game, deliberate foul play and foul play stopping a goal scoring chance, but we were never going to get it.

It wasnt a great pass out, but still Fernando had the first touch of a serial rapist and rather than simply knocking it to Ota at right back he decided to try and play it with the outside of his boot. Do you not think restarts like that will be common place under pep next season, I think they will be and the player receiving the short pass out, has to do better.

Another good performance away in Europe, seems the only place we're able to perform this season.

Weird game, felt like we could have won comfortably 2 or 3-0 somehow, yet also felt like we could've lost 4-1. Unlucky in both conceded goals, but lucky in our 2nd goal.

PSG were pretty poor, if Pastore & Veratti are still out next week, with Matuidi now banned they could be pretty light in midfield which is a bonus. Shame that Luiz is banned though, Marquinhos is a far better defender IMO.

Only negative for me was Aguero, he seemed like he was either knackered or couldn't be bothered, no explosiveness or effort, his passes seemed like they would barely travel 5 yards. Just didn't seem up for the game at all. Shame we can't rest him at the weekend as it looked like he could do with a break.

Great result. Some great performances. Pity some weren't at their best though as we could have won the game.

Like we were never getting those decisions in Munich the first time we played Bayern. If Luiz had correctly been sent off he wouldn't have been on the cheat for the pen. I fucking hate the floppy haired twat.

'Borderline awful'?
Yeah it means we were fairly close to being collectively awful for large parts of the game. PSG were very poor but we couldn't have argued with losing by 2 or 3 given how under the cosh we were. Plenty are saying we were quite fortunate tonight. And plenty are saying PSG were very poor. So that makes us borderline awful.

I'll put in another way, other than Mangala and possibly De Bryune and maybe Hart, who had a good game?

We got a great result, and some of the side worked really hard, but quality wise, we were terrible. I'm just so happy that we can play so badly in a CL quarter final and still end up in the driving seat. Might be our year after all.
