There going backwards under poch leadership

I don’t know if anyone can really manage this side well in a way that it seems they should with the level of high narcissism and low levels of teamwork that one speculates a manager is facing or something we don’t understand that is likely extraordinarily challenging when you have such a scenario to manage.

Tuchel was terrible there too, yet isn’t anymore for some reason, and that was BEFORE Messi’s arrival.

Adding Messi, strange as that sounds was perhaps not the most ideal decision for PSG given what we all knew was a risk given the low work-rate of Neymar and Mbappe.

Then we saw when Messi arrived that Mbappe wanted out. He’s clearly gone and I don’t know if Pochittino can reign him in when there is a competition like this for a club that focuses greater importance with their wealth on the glamour of the biggest star for attention than building a team (they didn’t do terrible at this btw).

Now, TBF Verrati was not there tonight, and he is arguably more vital than the other 3 to get the engine going for the stars.

Yet that speaks to how they are more heavily reliant on their stars who give but also taketh by standing around as we can clearly see..

I don’t think Pep or Klopp could even TBH without major fallout with Neymar and/or Mbappe.

What a bunch of diving prima Donnas... Big fan of Messi but he has gone all Ronaldo clutching his face last night. Poch will be a good fit for United judging by the theatrics and crowding the Ref from last night is to go by. Glad we fkd the turds....

Pussies, very little chance we'll meet them in the final a team in the true sense that might as well be Celtic.

As for the manager, I'd be gutted if he was Peps replacement.
Agreed. I don't see all the hype about him, Yes he done well at Tottenham getting them to a Champions League Final and fairly well in the league but he still never won anything their and on top of that had numerous occasions of "bottling it" including the Leicester title win.
Personally I thought his set up in both games against us this season was shocking, Yes they won the first game but we completely dominated that game as we did last night but just this time we found the back of the net. That money spent on top of that wage bill and still set up like Steve Bruce Newcastle side is pretty pathetic. We batter his PSG side and if he goes to that other lot we'll batter his rag side too.

Their full-backs and Marquinhos impressed me. Neymar, Paredes and Herrera are three of the most unlikable players in the game though.

They’re not a great team but you can’t completely dismiss their chances with their abundance of attacking talent.

PSG are the polar opposite to our football model, they are a team of galacticos and ego's, a horrible team and a dressing room that must stink.

Tuchel and now Pouch can't do anything with them.

If Messi's fan boys on here wanted to now why it was essential that little fella was not wanted anywhere near our club, last night was the prefect advert.

Messi is done, is in Paris to pick up a big bag of cash, his love and desire of the game is done.

Mbappé and Messi on the same team is a problem.

They're both extremely low effort defensively. Which in modern football is just asking for trouble against anyone decent. The fact that compared to those two Neymar is a workhorse (and he's not the hardest of workers..) makes the whole thing a nightmare.

Plus without Veratti they have a shitty midfield.

Well Mbappe is the striker. Doubt that someone like Haaland works more. Beside that I think the biggest problem as good as he is is definitely Messi. U can see how Mbappe and Neymar keep switching sides or even sometimes ( Neymar more often) moving to the defense while Messi is literally. „ walking „ on the pitch. When Messi moves to the middle - Mbappe tries to go to the right to compensate while Neymar is doin the same on the other side.

messi would’ve have destroyed our team chemistry. Di María is the biggest threat in the big games but now he is gonna sit on the bench. Well done PSG.

Haaland in his former lazier years was harder working than Mbappé in his former harder working years. Mbappé is definitely a very low effort forward. It's easy to say it's a tactical thing but Pochettino historically demands a lot from his players, so it's likely this is Mbappé's own doing.

Sort of concurring with your point though about Messi, I think that Mbappé not being a hard worker was ok before Messi. But Messi in that team destroys what they have.

I disagree that Messi would have destroyed us. Like when we nearly signed Ronaldo (who's even lazier defensively), I think with 10 hard workers we could get away with a majorly talented maverick. But nonetheless I'm very happy with how things turned out anyway.

I think the arrival of Messi in PSG has confused many teams, because now he plays in his own style and is unlikely to be able to influence him much. However, other teams now do not really understand how PSG will play in the next game, because Messi is often unpredictable.

Reading peoples views of psg on here, and watching various pundits on the telly, Im surprised city didnt put ten past them.
They're still alright. Just massively underperforming relative to on paper squad strength.

Also, City don't put 10 past anybody. That'd be very disrespectful of us.

In the second video mad throwing flares like that mind you lack of stewards and and a couple falling down over the seats must have hurt
