Do i think he’s chosen the easy option to play in Ligue 1? Definitely.

At least it’s took the limelight off us for 15mins - them paying him 100m per week means everyone’s pointing a finger at PSG as the bad guys/FFP cheats etc….

Us paying £100m for a 25yr old player doesn’t feel so bad now

But don’t despair, we’ll be back to enemy number one by weekend

Imagine the piss boiling if we dick spurs with no Grealish or striker...
 
Messi will pay for himself, just look at PSG social Media increase and shirts are sold out.
 
Lot's of jealousy on here today. We're beginning to sound like dippers/rags. Just because someone doesn't want to sign for us then they must be a money grabber or have no ambition. And what's all this "they must be investigated" bollox. For what? Spending their money that they have been given by their owner? Isn't this what we have been moaning about since ffp? Good on them. What a team they have now. They should walk the chumps lg with that forward line.

A lot of hypocrites on here. City fans crying about other clubs spending. That’s Uniteds mentality.

According to Pep we didn't try to sign Messi

When he was asked about Messi, this was his answer:

"We spent £40million on Jack Grealish. £100million we pay and £60million we won in the last year and he will bring the number 10 because we were convinced for Jack Grealish. Right now it is not in our thoughts [to sign Messi]."
 
Ever since last summer I felt Messi would leave Barcelona this window and I hoped he would come to City. He has now left Barcelona but gone to PSG. My attitude has changed though I still accept that Messi may have turned PSG into favourites for the CL. Messi's tearful display at his press conference and his constant references to Barcelona as "home" and to his anguish at leaving give a whole new significance to Pep's hopes that Messi would end his career at the Nou Camp; Pep may believe Messi cannot function at any other club. Add to that Messi's ego, which may well conflict with other strong personalities at the club and PSG's problems of dressing room cliques may not actually have improved. One last problem - another bullet City may have dodged - is that PSG may have to balance the books by "releasing" up to ten players. I do accept that Messi may lead PSG to great things but there is a possibility that all may not be sweetness and light.
