Agree fully, absolute madness from the French government.

+1

Might help us if there is anyone that we are interested in to lure them here
yep, French clubs now have to pay a player double the gross wage an English or Spanish club would have to pay them just to give them the same take home pay, could I just point out that the only people getting taxed 75% are earning €20,000 per week and above and are hardly likely to have an.empty fridge or unpaid bills because of it.

Whilst I'm not going to shed any tears for people on a million a year surely this is self defeating. If you used to get 50% of Gerard Depardieu's wedge and now he's scarpered to Russia you are now getting 75% of fook all.

If Thiago Silva's on €185000 p/w and now they have to up it, together with pastore, cavani ibra lavezzi etc there is no way that is sustainable for them to comply with FFP. I would take any of these 5 btw

It is double isn't it. I've just worked it out. A Premiership player earning £10 million per year gets a 'net of tax' figure of around £5 million. In France the same player only gets a 'net' of tax figure of £2.5 million. He needs to earn £20 million per year to match the take-home pay of the Premiership player.

France looks like it might be going downhill at this rate. The only people looking to enter the country will soon be people wanting to use the expansive and well-funded welfare system. But, if all the investment pulls out then for how long will they be able to sustain it ?

I don't think this affects Monaco though as they are independently taxed aren't they ? Isn't it a tax haven ?

Could be a good time for us to pick up a few bargains from the rest of France though and especially PSG. Ibrahimovic is fantastic but probably just at the end of his fantastic career now. As for the rest, how many of their big buys would suit us ?
