PSG

And of that massive thronging crowd I reckon less than a couple of them actually go to PSG matches!

I was in Paris recently, and they have absolutely no interest in football. For a city the size of Paris, they have one senior club (London has about 14!) and they struggle to attract over 40,000.

They are not a threat to City. Seriously.

Sorry mate but your eyes are brown, you're full of shit. I live in Paris, actually I was born in Paris, and what you say is just wrong.
Ok France is not England, or Spain or Italy or Germany about passion for football, but you CAN'T say we have no interest in football. An other guy on that thread said that in Paris we love rugby better than football. That's so so wrong. We really don't give a shit about rugby in Paris, and we definitly love football. (Rugby is loved in the south of France)
Ok just one big club in Paris, but can you name any other french city that has more than 1 club ?? I don't think so, that's just a cultural thing in France: 1 city = 1 Club.

And when you say we struggle to attract 40k people ! ROFL
1st our stadium is 47k not 40k, ad it will be 60k in several years from now.
And this year every game was sold out, even against the shitest team in L1.
Last 2 years the arena was kinda "empty" just because of a political plan against violence that brought out a ton of people boycotting the new club's policy.

My point, is not to say we are bigger than you, or bigger than anybody. I don't care, we're not here to make a dick contest. I respect City for what City is, I don't mean to tell bullshit about football in Manchester.

Please next time stay more than few days in Paris before having an opinion about how we live our passion...

See you in few months in CL :)

The crowd at the eiffel tower was surely 90% of tourists.
But you aren't right, we care about football in france, less than in england of course, but it's important. Most of fans lives in periphery, people in paris city itself are either tourists or workers.

But the results and the level of our football has so decreased the last decade, interest has fallen down a lot. French national team is a shame since 10 years and the political tendancy is to say football is bad. Sheeps are following.

The core fanbase has always been there, and the new team will bring more and more.
PSG was really poor for nearly 20 years, even flirting with Ligue 2 during few seaons. Fan base was pissed by our previous owners, even more by our last aka "Colony Capital", and stopped attend match days with supports lockout. I think you don't realize what the situation was before QSI.

Situation has changed now. It will be near impossible to get a ticket next season. Last year without players like T.Silva, Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, PSG store was already out of stock on Pastore shirts at some point.

Well, anyway you can stay blind and keep saying people in Paris don't care about PSG, you are 100% wrong.

Those dismissing PSG as insignificant and no threat are deluded.

They are building a world class squad with the same aim as us.

I am not, I think it is good for football and look forward to the day we have to play each other for the title of World Domination Cup.

Indeed it was. First-time poster here, but I actually read this forum as a guest for over a month after coming across this board's Eden Hazard thread. I don't support PSG even though I was born in Creteil, but as a fan of Lyon and French football in general, I'm happy for the club as they have put a spotlight on Ligue 1, though most of it has been criticism, which is coming from people who don't even follow the league.

I like Olympique Marseille supporters, they show much passion in every game. About Psg supporters i dont know, if they sold out every match in this season we are talking about glory hunters, nothing more.

Napoli had a crowd of 60-70k in second division lol.
