PSG

if they sold out every match in this season we are talking about glory hunters, nothing more

Lol, we sold out during years before QSI arrived, freaking talk about what you know it's boring. Of course there will be "new" fans, but the stadium was full before them don't worry.

Anyway you seem to support Marseille in France (our kind of "Man United" rival), and being Italian, may be supporter of Napoli where we bought Lavezzi, you can't be objective about PSG. My 2 cents lol

And of that massive thronging crowd I reckon less than a couple of them actually go to PSG matches!

I was in Paris recently, and they have absolutely no interest in football. For a city the size of Paris, they have one senior club (London has about 14!) and they struggle to attract over 40,000.

They are not a threat to City. Seriously.

Sorry mate but your eyes are brown, you're full of shit. I live in Paris, actually I was born in Paris, and what you say is just wrong.
Ok France is not England, or Spain or Italy or Germany about passion for football, but you CAN'T say we have no interest in football. An other guy on that thread said that in Paris we love rugby better than football. That's so so wrong. We really don't give a shit about rugby in Paris, and we definitly love football. (Rugby is loved in the south of France)
Ok just one big club in Paris, but can you name any other french city that has more than 1 club ?? I don't think so, that's just a cultural thing in France: 1 city = 1 Club.

And when you say we struggle to attract 40k people ! ROFL
1st our stadium is 47k not 40k, ad it will be 60k in several years from now.
And this year every game was sold out, even against the shitest team in L1.
Last 2 years the arena was kinda "empty" just because of a political plan against violence that brought out a ton of people boycotting the new club's policy.

My point, is not to say we are bigger than you, or bigger than anybody. I don't care, we're not here to make a dick contest. I respect City for what City is, I don't mean to tell bullshit about football in Manchester.

Please next time stay more than few days in Paris before having an opinion about how we live our passion...

See you in few months in CL :)

He has a point mate Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Fulham, QPR and even Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace all fill their ground, thats 8 clubs, for a city the size of Paris you should well be filling it.

Think you taking the piss with Charlton

I think a few of my French followers have missed the point of my post by the length of the Champs Elysee'!

I said Paris is not a football city. I stand by that.

PSG average 40,000 fans... that's not too bad. But when you condider that the profesional clubs in London (a similar sized city) average around 300,000 fans every weekend, it shows the fact that Paris is NOT a footballing hotbed.

No disresepct intended to PSG. Just a fact that Paris (and France) don't have the same footballing culture that all the other major nations have.

They used to, my point being PSG fans are terrible, Paris has a population of approximately 2,219,519, you would think (with France being a footballing nation) they could fill a 48k stadium

Hooliganism problems between 1980-2000 was the reason. 40k average, you can't do very much in a stadium of 47k max with high security measures and away supporters empty.

Every full stadiums in france are under their original capacity, it's not like in england where a seat is a seat. Marseille can't do much than 50k average with a 60k stadium, Lens 35k with 41k capacity. But this stadiums are considered full.

Of course, we never claimed to have it.

You say it like England never had a problem with hooliganism.
