Hooliganism problems between 1980-2000 was the reason. 40k average, you can't do very much in a stadium of 47k max with high security measures and away supporters empty.

Every full stadiums in france are under their original capacity, it's not like in england where a seat is a seat. Marseille can't do much than 50k average with a 60k stadium, Lens 35k with 41k capacity. But this stadiums are considered full.

You say it like England never had a problem with hooliganism.

No but english people kept going to stadiums, french wasn't !

Are you trying to tell us that the French surrendered pretty easily?

I'm more interested in what's going to happen regarding FFPL. Let's see what that **** Platini has to say now.
Frenchman. He is 33, a lawyer and his name is Laurent Platini. Michel’s son has landed a job with Qatari Sports Investments, who sponsor Barcelona’s shirts and have a majority interest in Paris Saint-Germain. It is presumed PSG will come under scrutiny when UEFA’s financial fair play regulations bite as it would be hard to self-finance the lavish investment of the new Qatari owners on average gates of 28,856 (marginally bigger than Stoke City, not quite as big as West Ham United). Still, maybe Laurent can give them a hand. He might even know a chap who could put a word in.
