Pubs before and after our visit to Swamp

The Robin Hood tends to be about half and half, which makes for good banter.

some of the replies lads, look as though they could be wind ups !

Is there anyone that can simply provide a list of decent pubs in areas in city centre or outskirts

Thanks

The Waldorf - near piccadilly train station's alright
Bar Rogue - Piccadilly
Decent pubs, pint - Not bad places

What a fucking Dive!

If you get away early enough most of the boozers in town will be open.

Waldys ok you won't get any mither around the Northern Quarter infact most pubs east of Deansgate will be fine. Explore.

I would imagine all City Centre pubs shut for the duration and after. That's become the norm. Not sure where the Gorse Hill is Soulboy? Out in Stockport?

i was in town on Sunday Morning, all pubs shut and offies, due to the rags v scouse, even wetherspoons, a few hotel bars were open, outskirts might be better

Straight after the match, head for the Gorse Hill.

Bit of an old-fashioned olde worlde locals pub, famed for selling real ale and their cheeseboard.

Wear your City shirt if you can.

Oh, and you can still pick up a microwave for a tenner from the snug...

;-))

The Gorse is a Rag pub

Yes, it is solely populated by the scourge of society. Horrible place full of horrible cnuts. I cant recommend it highly enough.

Coming down morning of game and will be staying over, before I book hotel for the night I was looking to see if there was anything going on in any blue pubs around the city after Match?

Thing is, most Blues go to the home games, so there isn't really a huge contingent that hang around in boozers to watch the games.

Eventhough the rags are at home, every boozer in town will be rammed with the armchair variety of newfans. If I were you, I'd latch onto some blues at the match and find out where they are going for a few scoops afterwards.
