Pubs for Burnley

Anywhere except Burnley. I know there has been a lot of hype but the fans really are a breed on their own. I live 4 miles from the ground and on match days there are police everywhere. Even to the point that ALL coaches are brought to the ground under Police escort off the motorway. It really is backward.

Had to call into Burnley on Sunday when they played Blackburn. I know there is a lot of hostility but it was still kicking off at half four well after the match.

I too am now a native of East Lancashire... and I too recommend that you don'ty go drinking in Burnley town centre!

Have a lot of mates who are Clarets fans and even they admit that they have a large percentage of nobheads who turn out for the big games.

I'm actually in the Burnley end this Saturday (too late for a ticket for the City end), and a mate of mine got me a couple.

Have sat in the Burnley end before. so I know to keep schtum, and so long as I wear my gloves, so they don't see I don't have six fingers I should get away with it! Try to remember to chuck rocks at the sun as well if you reallly want to integrate!

Best place for a drink might be Clitheroe, Rochdale, maybe Rawtenstall or some of the pubs just off the M65.
