We were heading to stanmore in the car, but got a text parking was full and pubs non existant so headed to chorleywood, a couple of quiet pubs 10 mins from station and 25 mins from wembley on tube. Parking at station £2.50 for the day

Cheaper than near the ground mate

Harrow-on-the-hill is a very affluent area mate, but I've never stayed or drank there. I'm surprised you say Harrow-on-the-Hill is cheap unless you mean Harrow town centre which is a bit of a shit hole having stayed and drank there.

It wasn't so bad actually in the second pub, landlady was a watford fan and husband an arsenal fan, local rag and spurs fan, had a good chat about football and we were not looked at like a load of dodgy northeners

It was proper merry old england complete with fit posh blond in riding pants and camel toe on show turning up to meet some fella.

All very polite.

We were in Harrow last night and yeh it’s a dump but it was proper cheap, £2.75 a pint
