pubs for west ham away?

As well as the Blind Beggar, I've been checking out some of London's most iconic pubs and just to mix things up for a change we're going to get another one in before we head over to the pubs near the ground. The Princess Louise near Holborn station is on my radar - it's also a Samuel Smiths boozer so that means cheap beer!
The princess Louise is a beautifull pub, beers cheap by London standards as well . Which others have come up on your search ?

Going to this on my own what's it like around there safety wise? A mate of mine got stabbed there a few yrs ago completely unprovoked.

Tends to be fine, even though I am west ham, I am scottish and the voice comes too so stick out like a sore thumb but never had an issue. Ive seen plenty away fans mingle with the home and never any issues*

*this does not include Stoke or any other London club

absolutely fine everytime i've been. I've walked down green street and stood at the tube station in my City top singing City songs and got no hassle. West Ham fans are in the main a good bunch.

The Old Mitre which looks quite quirky and isn't too far from The Princess Louise but bizarrely isn't open on a Saturday! Also, The Palm Tree in Mile End which is quite handily placed en route to Upton Park - not the best of areas and looks like a pub you would want to avoid but apparently gets a good mix of locals and student types. There was another quirky one in Finsbury Park called The Faltering Fullback that I'll just have to try out at some point but that would probably be better placed for Arsenal away.

Is anybody else staying over after the game? Wondering where to go after the match.

Last year we couldn't get in anywhere, only place we could find letting in away fans was weatherspoons just up from the Denmark but it was rammed, we just got tube into town

Future reference: avoid the Denmark. Wouldn't serve "away" fans at all, even though we weren't wearing colours they just wouldn't serve us... Even though a few lads were already in there and had been served previously.
So we fucked off back towards the ground and went into The Central.... It was proper bouncing, with West Ham in one side and quite a sizeable area for us lot... Was a good vibe in the central :)
