Unfortunately i've already booked to go down to watch the snooker tomorrow afternoon, but i'm gonna try and catch the game somewhere, so just wondering does anyone know of a pub/bar in which would have the game on tomorrow.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, JB

After living in Sheffield for three years - the best you can hope for is an internet cafe or Jeff Stelling

Hmm, to say i didn't expect that to be the answer would be a lie. Thanks anyway, do they still live in the dark ages there? Theres tons of pubs in Manchester, or atleast the area i live in offering foreign channels to watch certain games

Sheffield has two teams in it that foreign TV has no interest in!

If you're gonna wanted to be sticking near the Crucible there is a few nice bars near - the Old Monk is a proper sports bar. But near there's a few pubs like the Graduate and somewherethaticantrememberthenameof which do good cheap food!

If you want to proper lash it - go up West Street - about a 10 minute walk from the Crucible. Loads of bars.

In the day yes; otherwise those nice bars are filled with a toxic mix of underage drinkers and really old men. The cavendish also has a resident drunk that sings at the bar most days. If you want a good pizza for lunch their is a good place on West St called Rise at the Hallamshire that does a 12" thin crust pizza and a drink for £5.50.

This is never too bad either- http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/union/event. ... entID=9563 - if you like different flavour and styles of beers and ales. Furthermore, you are more likely to find the game on TV in the student union (the university of as apposed to Hallam) in Bar One (where the beer festival is) than anywhere else I know of- I would hasten to add this is some distance from the Crucible.

Dragged this thread up as I’m over there next Saturday & I wouldn’t mind finding somewhere decent to watch our lunchtime game at 12.30 and then the England rugby league semi final at 2.30.

Looking at these posts from a mere 12 years ago, seems like The Graduate, The Old Monk or the uni SU bar are best bets - that still the case do you know @liamctid @Dr.Faustus ?

Edit. The Graduate looks the better bet, as I see the Old Monk is no longer.
