The Black Horse on Oldham rd. Failsworth. Ran by close family friends, Gladys and Tom.

There's loads gone in Failsworth. That's a Domino's Pizza place now.

Guido, Bulls Head, Cloggers, Half Way House, Forresters, Brown Cow, Bridge. The Pack Horse is For Sale. In fact there's load gone on Oldham Road and the first pub out of town is probably The Lamb now.

As for the OP I didn't know The Colliers as a pub, when did that close? Would have loved to go in there after a walk to Harthead Pike. I can tell where it is from the picture and the Horse and Jockey I cycle up Standedge Road a lot (bloody long hill) and that is still standing in that state of disrepair.

Is the Liberal club still going on Oldham rd?

The Coach & Horses between Piccadilly Station and Aytoun St.

Not much to look at but served a cracking pint of Tetleys. Went to what was then Mcr Poly on Aytoun St. There was a greasy spoon cafe just round the corner on London Road where we'd have our tea then a game of darts and a few pints in the Coach & Horses.
