Punishment for poor surfaces

Stoke didnt have much of a problem with it because the ball is hardly on the deck the way they play.
It's hardly as if they spent the whole game hitting it up the pitch. Most of their passes found their target. An awful lot of ours were under hit and stopped before they got to where they were supposed to go. Fair enough to start with, but after it happens a few times you should surely start to kick it a little bit harder? And it's not like our passing game prevents a player from running to where the ball is if he knows it isn't going to reach him instead of standing there watching whilst the other team run in and take it.
Did you watch the game? in the first half they smashed the ball in the air, its all they do its wank only reason they didnt do it in the second half is we didnt let them have the ball.

Same for both teams.

Same for both teams just doesn't cut it. Shit for both teams maybe. And that isn't fair on the visiting team. saying Stoke didn't seem to mind is pretty much bollocks too. They "play" the ugliest kind of long ball shit so the shocking state of their pitch doesn't affect them as much. I stand by my gripe mate.

Everyone was up against it, it's the snow, it's the bad weather that we can't do much about. Everyone had to live with it, it's the way it goes.

Everyone was up against it today, not just City. We can't really use that as an excuse.

If the pitch was up to scratch i genuinely feel Citys performance would have been better. When great craftsmen like Silva,Tevez and Super Mario play on a poor surface as today it goes some way to negating the edge in class they have over opposition players.

So the pich was really bad in the first half when Stoke were on top, but better in the second half when we got our passing game going? (though again we reverted to a build up far too slow to cause other teams problems, 60% possession over the 90 minutes and we hardly created a cear cut chance apart from Micah's goal which came from a superb turn on the edge of the box after a quicker build up).
Sorry, but we cant blame the pitch, especially when you seen the snow and ice round the edge of the pitch.

They quite clearly tried to gain an advantage from the thin cap of ice - that shouldn´t be allowed and should be brushed off before kick off and the heating left on . The floodlights second half cleared it and helped us but I´m not making excuses for it . Stoke try it on every home game(inc towels etc) and if they get away with it then fair play to them
