Great band from round the corner from where I grew up in Failsworth. I was mates with one of JM's brothers (same school) and was round at their house quite a bit at one stage. I remember their dog and a City lampshade. Mum was a massive character locally and dad was a quieter guy from Hungary.
I thought they were a great band. Probably too good to make it; they didn't do much poppy stuff. I'm interested to hear the new record when it comes out in the summer, and hopefully see them live.
Yeah I've vague memories of them at the Apollo supporting the Carpets or the Charlatans a decade or so ago.Fairly sure I saw them. Likely the support act.
Few people on here have said that JM is a blue.
I went to their last gig at Gorilla in town. It was the same night we got beat off Wigan in the Cup Final. He came out laughing his bollocks off and giving us loads of stick.
Now I may have got the wrong end of the stick, but he sounded more like a rag than a blue.
Yes, same here. I'm sure they supported Inspiral Carpets at the Apollo. Shaun Rider came on in the encore.Yeah I've vague memories of them at the Apollo supporting the Carpets or the Charlatans a decade or so ago.
Yeah I was at that one! Was Shaun so fucked he ended up sitting on a chair for the encore?Yes, same here. I'm sure they supported Inspiral Carpets at the Apollo. Shaun Rider came on in the encore.
