Sorry if it has been posted. Couldn't see it but that could have been for the tears in my eyes. So young, such a tragedy.

Sorry to hear that, did you know him?
You know full well he didn't.

Sad news. Saw it on Sky News this morning. Don't remember much about him for Liverpool. RIP that man, and thoughts go out to the family.

It is indeed sad news and unfortunately young people and children die every day. We don't generally cry over it though unless you know them or have a connection with them so I thought it was a legitimate question.

I'm with Wayne. It is absurd to be upset about the death of another human being that you never met and knew little of (assuming that is the case) to the point of crying about it. Millions of children starve to death in the Third World every week. Does that poster shed a tear for each and every one of them? If not, why is this tragedy any more deserving of his attention?

This is very sad news. 23 is no age, but I'd never heard of him so I'm going it give it no further thought, because that's what we do, otherwise we'd go insane..

things must be slow if we are mourning a footballer who didnt play for us,i dont remember and wouldnt know if he bumped into me,

-- Mon Jun 25, 2012 8:47 pm --

anybody got a dead chicken we can mourn ?

Apparently Puyol paid for all his treatment.
Is that right? That's fucking excellent that.

(To the insensitive: I don't know Puyol by the way, so is it ok to feel awesome that he did what he did?)

Insensitive to who? I thought we'd already established nobody on here knew him.

Fair play to Puyol. Great gesture, that.

People who didn't know the 23 year old soldier who got killed in Afghanistan from round where I live, but they lined the street to pay their respects. If someone came up to us and said, 'you didn't know him', i'd label that person insensitive.
