Exactly. When you are that age, rivalries don't exist.

I was in hospital (Booth Hall) just before Christmas in 2000 and the City squad came around my ward. Wasn't really familiar with the City team at the time, plus they were just wearing normal plain clothes, sometimes hard to tell when they're not in a kit etc..

Nicky Weaver was one of them, can't remember who the others were. The lad (City fan) next to me was leaning over, asking us "Is that Nicky Weaver who plays for Manchester City?" repeatedly, clearly excited, but even he wasn't sure by the casual clothing. My nanna who was beside my bed was begging them all for autographs to give to one of my uncles who's a blue, she probably frightened the life out of them. :D

Don't recall them posing for pictures and whatnot, but back then there wasn't a camera phone craze and I doubt anyone would've had a disposable at hand. They just asked how I was, if we were City fans, and a bit of small chat. Didn't think anything of it at the time, but looking back, it was a great gesture to do, and much appreciated now.

Movie 'Airplane' with the sing-song..........................just cant accept this even in the season of goodwill - sorry kid.

Classy guy with proud parents, no doubt (you, not him).

Takes me back to my younger years spent in Pendlebury Hospital.

Must have been about 1998, when I was 8-years old. I got wind that the United team was coming round the wards. The nurses came up to me all excited expecting me to be dead happy. Imagine their faces when I asked them to pull the curtains round and tell them I was asleep.

It was nice of Neville and crew to pay a visit, shame I wasn't nearly as magnanimous.

Yet more quality from representatives of the Manchester clubs. Excellent work. Look at that kids face.

There is no way an 8 year old would do this.

Like a child is gonna think up "close the curtains, I don't want to see rival players"

Nice try at attempting to be cool, though.
