There are definitely a disturbingly high number of people in the UK with that cluster of beliefs and the uniting factor is that they are all of low intelligence. I don’t think that’s QAnon, though, is it? Isn’t that taking it much further with the conspiracy theories?

30 years ago you would see people with a plackard standing in a town square shouting mostly absolute rubbish about all sorts of crackpot things, especially how the earth was coming to a dramatic end very soon. I along with most people would give them a look that said here's another nutter. But there was always someone listening to the bollocks being spouted wide eyed as if the crackpot knew some secret everyone else didnt.
30 years on the town square is replaced by the internet and the same apllies as above but the numbers of wide eyed onlookers is greater and easier to reach.
I can only assume some people have boring sad empty lives and are searching for something they will not find in these crazy crackpot ideas

If you’ve got ten minutes, this article is worth a read for how bat shit crazy the QAnon world is and how it’s likely very dangerous.
This thread is from the same guy and he called the 6th January Capitol Putsch a few months ago as shown in the time stamps.
Rather glad I’m not in the US nor elected to Congress right now. There’s going to be more bloodshed in my opinion.

Sadly the people I’m talking about have high level jobs, directors and top level management.

I’ve met a number of middle/upper class racists, right wingers, homophobes, Brexiteers and general bigots amongst people in senior management/director roles but I haven’t heard or seen of any of them who have gone down the anti-vacc, 5G, covid conspiracy line. I thought having even a modicum of an IQ doesn’t stop you from being intolerant and hateful but does stop you believing in anti-science bullshit.
