So does that mean the dead-cert £2bn deal to buy the rags is on ice then?

Can they own two clubs at once ?? think ive read somewhere that they cant.

The can own as many as they want but they cannot play each other at any stage.

So PSG or United would have to recuse themselves from UEFA competitions.

But if they did come in for the rags again would the prem allow it or just say its a none starter?

Absolute non starter. You don't buy clubs like PSG and United only to have one remove itself from European competition.

There would be no way the PL could stop it based on the rules in place.

Neither could UEFA or FIFA (if FIFA still exists ;-) )

Lets not forget that HHSM owns two clubs as well.

Champs league is European competition.. Dont think his other club is European.

I meant if they bought the rags & they were drawn against psg?

HHSM's other club is indeed outside of UEFA.

The simple fact is that UEFA wont allow two clubs owned by one person to play in the same tournament for obvious reasons.

So really then they would have no interest in the rags?

Who is it who bought Malaga lads?

Wikki..In 2006 Lorenzo Sanz, a former Real Madrid president, purchased a 97% holding in the club and then appointed his son Fernando Sanz, the former captain of the team, as club president. The club was again sold in June 2010, as Qatarian investor, Abdullah ben Nasser Al Thani, bought the club from Sanz. The club has also its own reserve team, Atlético Malagueño.

It´s not like Malaga competes in Europe..but if they did there might be a conflict of interest as the Malaga owner is Royalty as well.

But the important thing is that still no one is interested in going up against Abu Dhabi in the prem ownershipwise ; )

Are these definately the same guys that wanted to buy the rags? Just because it's Qatar doesn't mean it's the same people.

PSG, a sleeping giant just like us, who have underperformed for years and years. Glad for them as Paris is one of the meccas of Europe and should have a big team.

Does anybody know?

It´s the same guys..

I might add that I´m willing to bet that it was "our" Sheikhs that recommended PSG..They had looked at the club before buying City and PSG had ties to Sheikh Mansours local club thru some youth academy earlier as well ; )
