Clucthing at straws there i'd sayThere's 2 more options:
#3 The Ecuadorian player hasn't touched it but VAR has guessed that he has.
#4 The Ecuadorian player has touched it but they've taken the wrong frame to judge it from because when the ball is touched (by whoever) the player who was deemed offside looked a lot further back.
The introduction of semi-automated offside is an improvement but it still relies on subjective calls from VAR, like who touched the ball last.
