Anyone can quote any seat number at a ground. Your posts so far have been questionable. The one on this thread is essentially "I think Utd will be taken over soon please prove otherwise" a curious position for a "so called" City fan.

In hindsight it does look a little dodgy, but I was just expressing an opinion. Surrounded by the red mongs all day means I hear a lot about "the best team in the league". Calling me Scum after reading one post, then picking sarcastic quotes out and stating them as seriousness isn't really going to prove to many that I'm a Man U fan. I've been on here a few hours man, give me a few days, then you will see how much I love this club. There is a blue moon rising, and those rags hate it ;)

Qatar 'unlikely to invest in European football club'



DOHA — The Qatari royal family is not looking to invest in a European football club despite rumours linking them with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, a source close to the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) told AFP on Sunday.

A report in British tabloid The News of the World claimed on Sunday that the QIA -- which invests money on behalf of Qatar's royal family -- was preparing a 1.3 billion pounds (1.54 billion euros, 2 billion dollars) bid for 18-time English champions United.

Reports in the French media in recent months have also linked QIA with PSG, claiming the organisation could be poised to take either a controlling interest or a 30 percent stake in the under-achieving club based in Paris's chic 16th arrondissement.

However, the source close to QIA played down the rumours and told AFP that football clubs such as United and PSG did not present the opportunities for reliable returns on investment that the sovereign wealth fund usually seeks in potential business partners.

Nobody from QIA was available for comment.

TBH I'm sure we have fans from a variety of clubs on the forum, I was only commenting on a perceived "anti-City pro-Utd" flavour in your posts so far. I accept some City fans can also be critical of the club. I'm sure many City fans, (since mostly we come from Manchester), have friends that are United fans. I personally prefer honest discussion and don't like vitreol between fans. I would like us to be No 1 in the City but accept it will take a little time yet. The takeover of Utd by wealthy owners is concerning for City fans because it will effect our climb to the top.

If the Qataris did take over united right at this moment it would put us in the shade of the glare of publicity for a while, but so what !!! we have the ball rolling already, and imagine if the Qataris are as benevolent and forward thinking as our owners and pump billions not just into the club but into the infrastucture of our city (and stretford) how good would that be for our city in the eyes of the world .....
btw I still f**kin hate the bastards.
