I agree with you mate to be honest people kicking off if we arnt 3 up after 20 miniutes.spurs are a good side and 1 0 away defeat is not like we got beat at stockport county.some entitled fuckers who take wins for granted.
You are misinterpreting the critcism.

I didn't blame Pep when we lost to Newcastle, or Palace or Leicester. That was part of football. However when the coach unexpectedly changes his tactics and players, and loses a game and our run of 22 wins in 23 come to an end, there should be questions about what he was trying to do.

Had City just been heavily beaten, lost at Spurs then a change would have been understandable. All season long we've slogged away, and plundered goals against everyne p,aying fantastic attacking football and then for some reason we change it all and play safe. Why?

You should at the very least be puzzled at what Pep was trying to do when players like Sterling, Sane, Jesus, and Aguero have been tearing up the Premier League for the last two seasons. There was absolutely no reason for the caution.

I hope he has learned from the experience.

It's not a question of knowing more than Pep, it's a question of a coach making a mistake and City fans being able to discuss the game

I must have missed Sterling and Aguero being on the pitch last night?

Did you also want Jesus in two strikers up top, that would have been ridiculous.

As for Sane, the fact Bernardo is struggling to even make the weekend should make it clear why he didn't start.

You are building a strawman ten foot high by suggesting Pep isn't beyond criticism.

Nobody said he is, but you are buying into the media bullshit narrative that Pep somehow shits his pants when it comes to the business end of the Champions League.

The only people shitting their pants are people like you and others who can't handle the tension or even enjoy the situation we are in, never mind crediting an opponent with any semblance of quality.

Yes I am buying the media narrative because it fits. Nothing else does.

And yet you did.
No I was putting you right, in that I have no interest in engaging with you and your shit.
And me telling you that doesn’t endorse your shit or mean I’m engaging with your shit.

I was replying to one of our Spurs fans about why some of our fans have become entitled ****s.

Just to make it clear as maybe English isn’t your first language.

He’s playing the long game.

He played it safe, rested key players over the last few games, not shown all his cards in a run where we play Spurs 3 times in 11 days.

Everyone played for Spurs and Kane got injured. That was the only home game out of the three they have against us and they only won 1-0.

Did you see Pep at the end of the game? He was happy.

I was really disappointed after the game last night but having thought about it today I think I understand what went on now.

You are the one eluding to Pep tactically shitting himself at the business end of the Champions League.

You know, the same competition he has won twice before.

You asked what reason Mahrez could have played instead of Sane, without even acknowledging we could be without Bernardo for the next few games.

There was nothing out of the ordinary last night, just the outright execution of it from a group of players who have hardly been convincing in recent weeks, whatever the justified tiredness.

More possession, more shots, more tackles.

Sounds familiar enough to me.

Time to strap on your big boy pants Marv because the games are only getting tougher.

A 2 legged tie with a must win PL game sandwiched in between, i would suggest Pep was looking at more than just last night and again, if Aguero didn't back pass to Lloris, it would have worked as Spuds didn't look like creating much
There's always more than one factor in a football match and in any complex behaviour but City's strength is our attacking flair. You only draw in your horns when you face a more dangerous opponent or when you have a genuine fear of losing.

No one has yet explained how City were stronger by playing Mahrez, playing a defence minded midfield, whilst leaving Sane and KDB on the bench.

Of course I can not say for certain Guardiola's decision led to the defeat but our form, and results and logical analysis of the strengths of our side suggest he did indeed get it wrong again in Europe.

We also lost at Anfield in the Q/F last season and I recall similar question marks then about our approach. He was also criticised at Bayern, indeed if you remember when he came here, the media said he left Bayern defeated and questioned in Europe. It's not so easy to dismiss this criticism.

Time to stick to our attacking football. He was the one who got scared by memory so pulled in the horns.

It was safe harmless possession. You know it was safety first. Don't pretend otherwise

You clearly have made up your mind despite several posters putting forward an alternative point, so I will leave you to mope

No, but many seem to be able to predict playing the stars would - what's the difference?
Stick to the formula that took us to the brink of a quadruple. Why change it? There was no need.

Bernardo was a big loss. All the more reason to play our other creative players.

He likes to make surprising changes at the high pressure CL games which doesnt pay off usually. High pressure CL games means not Schalke, or Basel etc.

We had the luck in knockout stages since Pep is here not to face any of Atletico, Juventus, Barca, Real, Bayern. thats a big thing as with Pellegrini we got Barca two times in the last 16 already.

But chances are that even the Monaco, Liverpool, Spurs level is very hard for us.

And for 80 mins we had no issues, in fact that spurs side were on the wane, but tbf because delph made an error they got lucky.

Yes the subs were too little too late, but for a missed pen and one mistake we were the better team

That spurs team is wank and we have no reason not to expect to twat them next week
