I doubt he would have picked that team if we hadn’t had a game 2 days ago. Still in our hands get at them start silva KDB and Sané and we will be reet...

Now the pessimist in me can’t help but think Two penalties might cost us an unbelievable season

Thought we did OK, we only lost 1-0, so with a full strength first 11 next week, we should have no problems getting through to the semi-finals.

The last thing we wanted was a repeat of last season's quarter final when the tie was over after the first leg, we managed to avoid that situation this time. We have a very high chance of going through now.

Will be impossible to win either playing like this. Where’s the desire to win? We did not want to win this game today. We just go through the motions and then take whatever happens. We’re up against it with our fixtures, so the least we can do is look up for the battle, force the issue a little bit.

The game was fairly even. They scored in a period where we were dominant. We had Delph, Gundogan and Mahrez on the pitch against an essentially full strength Spurs side at their new stadium.

I think Pep wanted to take a draw back home, after considering the fixtures ahead and the injuries. Okay, we conceded a really disappointing goal, but they created absolutely nothing else. I fancy our chances.

It’s not like we’re going to Anfield with a 3 goal deficit. Everything is still to play for.

Pep’s stubbornness might knock us out the champions league.
Tottenham score and we need 3.
Sane will be off soon, we play like that and he still can’t get on the pitch.
If he wants to leave I wouldn’t blame him.

Some of you posters don't get it. This was the perfect away performance. Defend. Don't open yourself. Let home team come at you which is what they did few twice and mistakenly gave goal away. Otherwise happy.

Secondly target is title. Forget champs league. Tough tough teams and competition.

No, I just couldn’t find anywhere in Analya to watch the game. The three I mentioned are shit, most on here would agree so take your high horse backside elrsewhere.
not quite sure what a high horse backside is you utter cockwomble!!! -take that elrsewhere if you wish.

Bad time of season for pep to become arrogant and pick a 2nd team. Too negative and changes far too late.
Jesus is not the answer. Look at KDBs cross in injury time. Jesus on his heels no anticipation. Offside 3 times. Not intelligent enough for this team.

Jesus is extremely talented but must be extremely thick as well, as he never seems to learn and continually strays offside. Very frustrating player.

Presumably we were conserving energy. Again. We're just not firing and haven't been for a while. No-one can afford to miss penalties in crucial games and that's twice we've done it. Strange considering we're so good at penalty shoot-outs.

We can beat these at our place but I thinl they'll score.
We've won 22 out of 23 before tonight, im.not sure that we havnt been firing for a while is right.

Lot of mistakes today from Pep and players. Late subs, wrong starting 11, not enough attacks most of our attacks was like long balls to Kun he couldnt get any of those balls, Sterling lost every ball, Mahrez was useless with the ball.

Fair play to Spurs they did an immense defensive jobs. They not just got a clean sheet they limited us to basically one penalty miss. that was our best chance all game apart from that Lloris had not much else to do. Not many teams can defend like that. And that doesnt bode well for next game as we will need to score 3-4 goals on that one as we wont get a clean sheet.

Delph cost us again, he is no LB maybe against the likes of Fulham, Huddersfield he can play there but vs elite teams in CL LOLLLL...

Now Pep has a lot to think about, Palace, Spurs, Spurs, United next 4 games, not winning any of them can cost us the CL or PL or both instantly imo.

I've seen a few hundred games from City and this is one of the worst. Everybody knows the importance of scoring atleast one away goal. We also let a goal in from Son that wouldn't have been a goal if Delph did his job.

We all know by know Mahrez is not up for the task. Sell him asap, along with Gundogan, Delph and Otamendi. None of them have the quality to play for City.

And Pep is wasting this tournament. He is literally flushing the CL trophy down the toilet. WHY? Why doesn't he care? Why this weak lineup? Why in a quarter final? Why use ice cold players like Delph, Otamendi, Mahrez – players who barely played all season, while also removing the most important players: Sane, KDB and Bernardo.

I am absolutely stunned how by Pep and his decisions. I'm beginning to think he has lost his head completely. *Shocking*.
I agree with you although Bernardo was injured.
