QPR train crisis, all Euston services suspended!!

What a fucking shambles of a transport system our country has. The roads are overcrowded and full roadworks and delays. When you use the trains they are prohibitively expensive , overcrowded and unreliable

Got to consider ourselves lucky as we have just got to London but what a friggin nightmare. train stopped at Northampton and then 40 quid taxi to Wellingborough to pick up east coast line. thankfully i was at front of taxi q as they announced to everyone to do the same. sympathies to those who are stuck and who don,t make it

Listening to BBC Manchester and they said nothing will move in or out of Euston until 5pm

If anyone can get to Watford, get the underground past Wembley to Willsden Junction, catch the overground to Shepherds Bush and then a couple of stops on the underground to White City

Good luck

Didn't the team go to London straight from Spain? sure i saw it on some ones twitter.

Thought that was why there was no press conference this week.

Haven't the team been using the train to get to London matches recently? Hope they travelled down yesterday!

They flew straight to London from Spain.

Sounds a right mess.
Mate just phoned me said they were thrown off train at Watford and jumped in a mini bus with five others to Weilsden cost £60. Another lad still in Sheffield after trying to get to London via Leeds. No trains that way either.

Not sure mate, made announcement before end only one train an hour north after game

I didn't make it to the ground. I was booked on the 13:15 which got cancelled and ended up on the earlier 12:55. Got into Euston at 6:10 and debated making my way on the underground. However, that wasn't going to happen as it was heaving! Ended up with a couple of other ticket holding blues in a pub across from Euston for the second half.

On a train home now but no idea where we currently are!

Phew!!! What a hellish trip. Seems a long time since I started this thread. Finally home having a cuppa. Managed to get a train back from Euston at about 9pm but it was a fucking shambles down there. Angry, pissed-off passengers and very little information for blues and rugby league fans heading north. Some were sent to St Pancras to try and get home via Sheffield. I gambled on sitting tight at Euston and it paid off, but only after they sent everyone on a mass stampede. To the wrong platform.
On the way down, ended up getting off at Rugby and jumped in an eight-seater with some sound blues and their two young lads. If you're on here, cheers fellas, you're all stars. Cost an extra 30 quid but at least we got there just in time for kick-off. I know loads weren't so lucky.
All I can say is it's a good job we won, otherwise I think the City fans would've left Euston as a pile of rubble and sticks.
