My ex-wife smoked moderately and although she was as considerate as possible with it I was never at ease with it.

I understand about personal choice and don't demonise those that smoke but just couldn't form a LTR with one.

they would be gone. that second. many years ago I had as you described a girl who "ticked all the boxes". I was gutted she smoked. she promised she'd give up and things were great. two years down the line I called home early and smelt cigs on her. with no time for the mouthwash to kick in she had to admit to never really giving up. I moved out the next day.
