Queues

Then it's good advice for those who can turn up early to do so.

more ficking moaning...................

have you lot ever thought that the club are trying to be helpful with the added advantage of getting people ready in their seats for the biggest game of the season so far.

'I am glad I am not going' quotes one comedian, come on!

That is obviously not the club's motive though - that message is as transparent as can be. There should be goodwill and cooperation from both the club and fans to work around security measures. But that request is the club saying get in an hour early or don't complain if you miss kick off.
They're passing the buck and it's a joke.

Supporter Services have tweeted this before on previous champions league games, I think its just a standard message to be honest.

Being in 328 the queues never seem to be a problem going up the spirals, so i don't leave town until 7.20ish. If i was in the north stand, i'd be more inclined to get there early because it seems to be a nightmare every game.

There's no excuse to try and get people in an hour beforehand. I doubt any other club are asking their fans to do the same - though happy to be corrected.

I'm glad for the heads-up from the club. I got held up before the Swansea game and will now get there a bit earlier, but probably not 60 minutes. For everyone who gets in early it will make things easier for the later fans.

No, they have implemented ridiculous security measure unseen anywhere else in british football while at the same time limiting turnstile access to the main stand and south stand with the tunnel construction.

Rather than admit they have messed up the logistics and caused a problem, they keep trying to shift the blame on fans not being co-operative enough to arrive earlier than is necessary.

Pesonnaly I think it's time to look at the turnstiles being on some kind of perimeter fencing/wall rather than the actual stadium like old ground have (we have the space).
It would mean more could be fitted and also create an exteria area for fans who wish to to smoke and open up more options for bars/food outlets to reduce queues .
Only issue is away fan segregation arriving by tram, but I am sure that could be sorted

On a side note the police and the council would love it if we were all sat bored for 60 mins inside the ground rather than outside boozing and hanging around, there is a reason that only 3 pubs are left near the ground.

Ignore if it's been raised elsewhere, but on Saturday at Huddersfield one set of turnstiles had the club staff waving people through and the other set had G4S frisking everyone. I'm not sure if that protocol survived the arrival of hundreds of fans at once 10 mins before kick off....

Usually leave City square about 40 minutes befor kick off, on the concourse in 201 in 5-10 minutes. Is this just a south stand issue?
