Why do refs constantly take away the quick free kick option for a team when they are around close to the opposition box?
All the time indicating to wait for the whistle while the opposition and goalkeeper get themselves ready. Ffs!!
Starting to piss me off the amount of time refs take to set up the free kick. It's slowing the game down and removing inspirational moments.
I'm suspecting it's another oar being stuck in by TV companies to get their "TV moment".
I understood the laws of the game relating to freekicks was to proceed once the ball is stationary, and in the general location the infringement took place.
