Quiet dignity

All this media fuelled hype is completely OTT and its getting ridiculous. Its just a game of football between 2 on form teams. Make no mistake itll be very difficult to get 3 points tomorrow but we definitely have the team to achieve it and I hope we do. If we lose then ill be peed off, but not because Liverpool will have deserved it, but because the media (and their fans to a degree) have blown it up soooooo much. What's worse is knowing that if we play well and are narrowly beaten it'll not even be mentioned, it'll be a case of 'MONEY beaten by 'THE RIGHT WAY'. I love the fact we are so quiet and visibly focused. Fingers crossed we can show what a great and proud Club we are and silence the media infested doubters. Come on City!

Obviously the dippers have become the new rags.
As it becomes increasingly obvious that the "moyesification" process continues on it's downward spiral ,the " sports media" are casting around looking for the next biggest cash- cow , and there it is -a ready made market , comes complete with ready made hysterical fans and complete 'istree.

Just seen Bodgers spoutin' if the Dippers win the title it will be one for the model that doesn't involve being bankrolled by sqillions of buckets of loot.

If the Dippers do succeed it'll be another title that has been achieved on a shoestring! How is it that clubs who purport to ooze history and class demonstrate little knowledge of the former and a lack of the latter.

So if they win the Title they wont be buying new players and theyll reduce the Suarez weekly wage??

Liverpool has history, Liverpool this, Liverpool that, Garbage Garbage Garbage!! If their so enthused by their history then why do they never mention Heysel? shhhhhhhhhhh

I got banned off a merseyside/Manchester 'banter' page on facebook earlier for daring to ask when they will be also remembering Heysel. I apparently 'mocked death'.

I'm gutted.

Liverpool have every right to remember the 96, it could have been any set of fans that day but I bet there'll not be so much as a whisper to the tragedy of the Juve fans. Its not mocking death, but in my eyes it works both ways and they clearly sweep it under the carpet.

Let them talk about the money if they wish. It's a help, of course, but it's no guarantee. Earlier in the season we had Pulis and Fat Sam complaining that if it wasn't for City's spending power then they might have had a fair chance of a result. It seems logical until we remember that up to now, both teams between them have managed to 'achieve' a sum total of 34 defeats. Given that Palace have beaten Chelsea and that WHU have drawn against the same big money spenders, and that both clubs have failed against many of the league's lesser lights, it just reinforces the rightful argument that correct management is what will bring success rather than the illusion that someone with wads of money will do precisely this without ever putting in the effort to make it all work.

If Brendan Rodgers, his team and his club's supporters wish to believe this wealth illusion, then let them. Pellegrini is playing a blinder by keeping it low key, and the Liverpool approach to this game is playing right into Pellegrini's hands.
