I'm not being disrespectful, but what's prompted this outpouring? I thought he died in the summer on international duty, so it's not an anniversary or anything?

No, its not his anniversary, but its a little over a month away, so i suppose it can be seen by our more sensitive members as topical.

I think quite a lot of people should do this as a sign of respect.

RIP, seemed like a great guy and obviously died way way too soon.

Made the mistake once of seeing his collapse on youtube, quite possibly the saddest thing I've ever seen.

Sat at home watching Cameroon with me Dad and was saying, "think we're gonna go in to buy him outright this summer, really hope we do!" 10 minutes later he was dead! Sad moment! :_(
