I totally agree with you mate, As a soul fan who loves R&B it totally pisses me off. When these so call singers describe themselves as R&B artist. I'm sure they could of come up with another description to there Drug / Gangster / Sex and foul mouthed songs. Instead of clinging to a music that is a total opposite to everything they stand for.

Just had a look at your set list, and though I won't pretend to know all those tunes, there's a few killers on there (Benny Spellman, The Impressions). My oldest brother would know 'em all well, he's a soul-mad casino 'ead in his 50s who used to go to Wigan, The Torch, Blackpool Mecca and The Ritz - in fact he's still going to the all-nighters.

Im 24 and even I cant stand this modern RnB/Rap shite thats always constantly churning out of Radio1 or across the high street from HMV stores.
Give me good old Blues artists or Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Buddy Holly and so on. Fuck it if it makes me a old-timer to some ADIDAS wearing knob head, I like what I like because it sounds good. Not because its made to sound good for 5 minutes until the next pile of shite comes along.
