When has that ever happened? Provide a single example and it might be a halfway decent point.
A City player singled out for criticism when we've failed to win? It's easier to list the times it hasn't happened.

An academy player singled out for criticism because we drew or lost a game because of them.
A young player - see the Zinchenko, Sané, Sterling, Jesus threads.
Fairly hard to do it with academy players seeing as we've managed their appearances well, but if you want to go and look for the Rekik and Pozo threads...

Gabriel Jesus Brazil's number 9 and £30m signing with 2 years senior football under his belt is your best example of an academy player being blamed for a defeat? Come on FFS.

Pozo never got blamed for us dropping points, because 1) It wasn't his fault 2) He only played because literally everyone else was injured.

19 when we signed him, what age is Foden?

Notice you've glossed over people's views on Rekik and Pozo.

Oh please tell me which of his 3 games was Pozo blamed for us losing? Was it the 4-1 win against Sunderland, the 1-0 win against Everton or the 1-0 win at Leicester.

Rekik also won his only ever Premier League game for us.

Both were given dogs abuse for being poor.

Didn't happen, just like they weren't blamed for us losing because we never lost with them playing.

So just to recap.

Your best example of an academy player being blamed for us losing or drawing a game is -

1) 2 Youth players who won all 7 games they played for us.

2) a £30m signing with 2 years senior football under his belt, who starts for one of the best countries in the world and who benched one of the best strikers in history when he first arrived.

You might want to keep looking.

They got slagged off when we won games. As I said, higher standards. Imagine if they made a mistake and we lost?

I don't recall them hugely getting slagged off at all tbh. More just maybe a general 'they're not quite ready' kinda stuff, which is entirely reasonable criticism. Didn't recall any abuse personally. You really can't compare young signings with academy players. Totally different.

Hope this lad leaves with more dignity than Sancho, i can not blame him for leaving he has got a little bit of fame and understands that he is very unlikely to force his way into the squad. getting just one player a year through will be a phenomenal achievement, so good luck Rabbi

If this kid leaves now, it's another fuckup imo.

I've no idea if he'd ever make it at City, but he's tricky & fast, so yet again, if he was a rag, he would have likely been used as a wild card by the first team & they would find out rather than this 'in training' bullshit that we come up with.

We are far too precious about this, even with Pep here & it's very disappointing.

We don't seem to be grasping the idea, that shite, squad players are costing 50 million quid a time & are patting ourselves on the back, for getting less than half that for our young players without us even testing them out properly.

It's likely that even City, will not be able to sign many players at all because they are being priced out.

It appears the Germans may have already figured this out & are taking action getting their future squads for next to nothing.

Do love these people who think we should 'test out' our juniors in big matches - Yes every match is a big match as we chase a double PL champions. So who would you leave out? Let's say Raz. Some people have absolutely no idea.
