Yeah it wasn't the worst debut was pulling very hard so quite encouraging it managed to finish 2nd. Hollie's shit at getting horses to settle aswell imo so hopefully be up to winning a maiden if they find an appropriate race. Went off at 8s aswell so probably wasn't tuned right up to win. I'll give it 3 more chances just in case she's a nursery project down the line based on that run.

Sorry to hijack the thread ever so slightly, but the late, and truly great Alexandra (Alex) Timpson was a massive blue and called her horses after City players, famous wins etc, including Fiveone.

Alex was married to Baron John Timpson, of Timpson's Shoe Repairers, they fostered more than 90 children, still offer employment to ex-convicts and have probably the best staff incentives of any company in the UK.

Lord Timpson appeared on Desert Island Discs a few years ago and he talked about is late wife and her love of City, and horseracing.

I have had a ten bob e/w Patent with my dad almost every Friday since he 90s, he's been dead for 20 odd years but I still do it. Our 'system' was/is to pick City related horse names, jockeys or trainers, often they are really tenuous links.

Anybody want to bet on how many times in all these years I/we had three winners come up?

Keeps moving trainers which ain't a good sign. Had very very few runners this new fella Burdon I've never heard of him and I'm a full blown racing nerd. It has the ability to win races Gundo but it's a weird quirky horse that needs everything to drop right. You'll do your bollocks following that thing every week.

Im in the sporting life owners club and we named one of our unraced 2 year olds A Boy Named Sioux which I thought was a cracker. They didn't go with my suggestion of 'My Face' so all the ladies could shout come on my face.
