Like everything, social networking has its pros and cons. I don't have that much of a problem with it because I can keep in touch with my friends at the touch of a few buttons. Do not go on farmland or whatever the fuck it is called.
Do not add people you will never meet (i added gazinho but plan on a beer with him soonish)
Use it for it's intended purpose to stay in touch with friends and family not as a tool to distract you from life.
This will never happen though with the majority of people.
Most important of all, remember it is real so treat others as you would in person.
p.s. sorry im not on much Gaz, i just don't really do http/www stuff besides here.

The police certainly seem to be adopting a harder stance on so-called "internet bullying" these days.
I'm not sure where you draw the line as to what should be pursued and what shouldn't but perhaps we should all be a little more careful of what comments we post online from now on.

I do not think it is far fetched in todays society to claim he could easily have caused racial unrest in some areas.
So with that it is within reason to assume a person could be attacked due to his inciteful comments.

Loads of other aggressive comments but they're the ones mentioning Muamba or racist words.
He went on to say that he was only joking...and then 15 minutes later he apologised and said his phone had been hacked, they're not his views, he isn't a racist and he wished Muamba a speedy recovery.
I think the day after that he was arrested and in his police interview he admitted he'd written it all while drunk. Within 2 weeks he was sentenced to 56 days in prison. His university and rugby club have said they're investigating it before decided what to do.

Totally agree, obviously what he did was wrong but to be jailed for it just isn't right.
There's a huge amount of racism on the internet from sites dedicated to hating black/white people to racist jokes websites, I don't think it's very fair to single this one guy out when so many do it.
If those comments were said about the average black person I don't think he would have got jailed, I think its just because it got so much media attention. Normally all they would do is close your twitter account and ban you from the site.
