Some time ago I acquired a rack mountable UPS with 2 extra battery packs. It was from an office closure and I saved it from the skip. It's a proper beast and is for a server rack/comms room. It would have cost in excess of £1000 when new. It has never been out of the boxes but is probably about 8-10 years old. I was going to list it on ebay I don't think it is the best way to sell it. Does anybody know where I could sell this? Can I stick it in an auction or are there any specialist dealers?

Any help appreciated, ta

Check the batteries out, if they're anything like smaller scale chargeable types they might be knackered by age alone, even if unused. I'd ebay it after that, you're going to a tiny wee small market with a product that probably no one is specifically looking for (they may be looking for new ones, tho), if you want decent money for it then personally I'd say you want to show it to as many people as possible. disregard it's original value, as it may not work and it might easily be technically obsolete. Just my 2 penneth, good luck with it.
