Interesting, thanks, XKCD is a great way of procrastinating in a semi-constructive way.

On the banana thing, don't worry I think you're safe. If I've done my sums correctly then you'd have to eat 4,000,000 bananas in a short space of time to start experiencing symptoms of radiation poisoning. You'd also have to eat 1,000,000 bananas per year to increase your risk of getting cancer, that's just under a banana every 30 seconds for a whole year ;)

I don't like bananas anyway.

We had a research contract at BAE called SPAESRANE and I can confirm pilots and cabin crew are radiation workers and higher risk than people who work at coal fired or nuclear power stations.
