Thing with it is SKY have built a story on a leaked memo and the version of one single airman about available recruits. Not being funny but New Look to Ocado are struggling to recruit - we have a smaller workforce - as a retiree can I be persuaded to join the RAF as maybe an armourer or in air traffic control? Of course not this is a story about one thing dressed up as being about another

Sky News has obtained a transcript from Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston's 2020 talk to the RAF's diversity network in which he said that if improvements were not made towards recruitment targets "then I'm going to take it as far as I can in the law".

A good example of the road to hell being paved with good intentions. The law was broken because the fine line between positive discrimination and positive action was crossed - hence the resignation of the head of recruitment.
