Have you seen their run in?? Burnley, West Ham & Hull?? They look like shoe ins with Torres back. The only tough game they have is against Chelsea. Hate to say it but the Spanish waiter could be right.

i know yeah this is what im saying they have got such easy games!

either city 5th or lpool 5th

They're 7 points behind Tottenham and 2 points behind us, which could potentially be as much as 5 points when we've played the same amount of games. Do you guys honestly see both us and Tottenham lose enough points while Liverpool gain enough to catch us? I don't think so personally, because we have good enough fixtures ourselves. The rags @ home is a hard one and we can at best hope for a point at Arsenal, but we have a game in hand over Liverpool.

It's not impossible though, if they win at Birmingham next week (having won against Sunderland of course) they do have a real chance but I still think it's between us and Spurs. It's still ours to fuck up anyway. :)

Personally I think Liverpool wont get the top 4 spot neither will Villa, I always knew Villa would start to fall apart near the end of the season by playing full strenght teams week in week out (Even in cup competitions), Liverpool arent gaurenteed to be anybody even if its from Hull to Chelsea because there to inconsistent,

Between us and Spurs I reckon.

Tottenham....... Portsmouth(h), Sunderland(a), Arsenal(h), Chelsea(h), Man Utd(a), Bolton(h), Man City(a), Burnley(a) = 55 + 4 wins + 1 draw = 68 points
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aston Villa ....... Chelsea(a), Bolton(a), Everton(h), Portsmouth(a), Birmingham(h), Man City(a), Blackburn(h) and Hull(a)= 51 + 5 wins + 2 draws = 68 points
Man City ....... Wigan(h), Burnley(a), Birmingham(h), Man Utd(h), Arsenal(a), Aston Villa(h), Tottenham(h), West Ham(a) = 53 + 4 wins + 2 draws = 67 points
Liverpool....... Sunderland(h), Birmingham(a), Fulham(h), West Ham(h), Burnley(a), Chelsea(h), Hull (a) = 51 + 5 wins + 1 draw = 67 points

maybe liverpool will finish fourth but unlikely. my predictions have it all very close and are as random as any others to be fair. but the fact remains that they have so little scope for error just to stay close to the other 3.

Points amassed (shows how well a team will need to perform)
Aston Villa 17
Liverpool 16
City 14
Tottenham 13

Points dropped (shows potential to finish higher)
Tottenham 11
City 10
Aston Villa 7
Liverpool 5
all results went as i guessed they would this weekend. was a bit worried before the wigan game that defeat could see us near enough out of the running for 4th.

i also reckon villa might find it harder going at villa than i thought

and i reckon that we need liverpool to drop points away to birmingham next time out

Tottenham....... Sunderland(a), Arsenal(h), Chelsea(h), Man Utd(a), Bolton(h), Man City(a), Burnley(a) = 58 + 3 wins + 1 draw = 68 points
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man City ....... Burnley(a), Birmingham(h), Man Utd(h), Arsenal(a), Aston Villa(h), Tottenham(h), West Ham(a) = 56 + 3 wins + 2 draws = 67 points
Liverpool....... Birmingham(a), Fulham(h), West Ham(h), Burnley(a), Chelsea(h), Hull (a) = 54 + 4 wins + 1 draw = 67 points
Aston Villa ....... Bolton(a), Everton(h), Portsmouth(a), Birmingham(h), Man City(a), Blackburn(h) and Hull(a)= 51 + 4 wins + 2 draws = 65 points

Points i think teams will pick up (a lower amount is presumably more likely achievable than a higher one)
Aston Villa 17
Liverpool 13
City 11
Tottenham 10

Points i think teams will drop (a higher amount shows potential to finish higher)
Tottenham 11
City 10 we really need to pick some of these points up
Liverpool 5
Aston Villa 4

When I worked it out earlier I put us down for 3 draws rags, spurs, villa and had the 3 of us finishing the season on 68, so in other words if we beat spurs at home we SHOULD do it.....

just been looking on a spurs forum and some watched us last night a few of the comments i saw.....

Nice little dive from Tevez - should have seen him booked. With him picking up a booking later on he'd have been off.

decent win for them but unless they play 10 men every week they look like they'll struggle. Especially if Vieria is playing every week"

"Yeah I saw the last 15 minutes of the first and all of the second hslf. They were dreadful. Almost seemed clueless.
Never thought it should have been a sending off in the first place. Their first goal, although the keeper fluffed it, was a foul on the keeper with Idebyeawhore going in studs up and waist high.
Citeh can count themselves lucky that Stewart Atwell is a total plonker who should not be a premiership ref yet."

"Looking at that performance I think we can definately pick up 3 points when we go there on the 5th May."

Can't really argue with them too much, the horrible cnuts :)

agreed. shall see tho. if we get an impressive away victory at burnley. and lets face it, if we dont win at burnley then we're fucked. then imagine spurs get a draw at stadium of light (which isnt exactly unthinkable) then its all back in the mix again.

thanks to spurs losing i reckon if we should just sneak it now. of course if we can get a result against utd or arsenal, or victory against villa or spurs then we can make sure of 4th. blimey is this really us?

come on Joe, shut out the dippers. do it for city.

looking good after todays draw, now if only we can beat arsenal or united... possible if not probable

i expected liverpool to win today, so thats a nice cushion going into our tricky 4 game run.

Man City ....... Man Utd(h), Arsenal(a), Aston Villa(h), Tottenham(h), West Ham(a) = 62 + 1 win + 2 draws = 67 points (maximum possible is 77)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tottenham....... Arsenal(h), Chelsea(h), Man Utd(a), Bolton(h), Man City(a), Burnley(a) = 58 + 2 wins + 1 draw = 65 points (maximum possible is 76)
Aston Villa ....... Everton(h), Portsmouth(a), Birmingham(h), Man City(a), Blackburn(h) and Hull(a)= 54 + 3 wins + 2 draws = 65 points (maximum possible is 72)
Liverpool....... West Ham(h), Burnley(a), Chelsea(h), Hull (a) = 56 + 3 wins = 65 points (maximum possible is 68)

so basically i'm guessing Liverpool will pick up 9 out of a possible 12 points dropping 3. City 5 out of 15 points dropping 10. Spurs 7 out of 18 points dropping 11 and Villa 11 out of 18 points dropping 7.

Of course i'm secretly hoping that we get at least 2 points from the united and arsenal games.
